Council Minutes of 12/7/2004 <br />Resolution No. 2004-193 was introduced and placed on first reading by Councilwoman <br />Kasler on behalf of Mayor Musial and the entire Council. A resolution supporting the <br />North Olmsted Municipal Bus Line ("NOMBL") and urging the Greater Cleveland <br />Regional Transit Authority ("GCRTA") Board of Trustees to extend and continue the <br />long-standing relationships between NOMBL and GCRTA, and the Maple Heights Bus <br />Line and GCRTA, which have so well served the bus transit needs of the western and <br />eastern suburbs of Cuyahoga County for almost thirty (30) years, and declaring an <br />emergency. Councilwoman Kasler moved for suspension of the rules requiring three <br />readings and committee review and noted the legislation was discussed in caucus. The <br />motion was seconded by Councilman Limpert and passed unanimously. Councilwoman <br />Kasler moved for adoption. The motion was seconded by Councilman McKay and <br />passed unanimously. Resolution No. 2004-193 adopted. <br />Ordinance No. 2004-194 was introduced and placed on first reading by Councilwoman <br />Kasler. An ordinance authorizing the Mayor to enter into contracts for the deposit of <br />public monies with the institutions designated by Council as depositories for the active <br />and interim account of the city. <br />Resolution No. 2004-195 was introduced and placed on first reading by Councilwoman <br />Kasler on behalf of Mayor Musial. A resolution authorizing the Director of Public <br />Service to advertise for bids from licensed electrical contractors for basic electrical <br />services to meet the various needs of the Wastewater Treatment Plant, and authorizing <br />the Mayor, upon approval by the Board of Control, to execute a contract with the lowest <br />and best bidder for said services. <br />MISCELLANEOUS BUSINESS <br />President O'Grady scheduled aCommittee-of--the-Whole meeting for 6:30 p.m. on <br />Tuesday, December 14, where a presentation will be made by school superintendent Kurt <br />Stanic regarding a potential school levy for next year. <br />Councilman Miller scheduled a Public Safety Committee meeting to immediately follow <br />the Committee-of--the-Whole on December 14 to discuss Resolution 2004-179 and any <br />remaining issues with regard to the Traffic Code update. He asked that specific questions <br />be presented to the Police Dept. ahead of time so that the answers can be discussed at the <br />committee meeting. <br />Councilman McKay scheduled an Environmental Control Committee meeting <br />immediately following the Public Safety Committee on December 14 to discuss <br />Resolution 2004-195. A representative for the Mayor is asked to attend. <br />Councilwoman Kasler scheduled a Finance Committee meeting immediately following <br />the Environmental Control Committee on December 14. The committee will discuss <br />Ordinances 2004-164, 2004-186, 2004-187, 2004-188, 2004-189, 2004-190, 2004-194 <br />and Council pay range.
