Council Minutes of 10/5/2004 <br />Ordinance No. 2004-145 introduced by Councilwoman Kasler on behalf of Mayor Musial <br />E was given its third reading. An ordinance creating new Sections 163.05 and 163.06 of <br />Chapter 163 of the Administrative Code entitled "Department of Human Resources" for <br />the purpose of describing the positions of "Outreach Worker" and "Activities <br />Coordinator," respectively, within the organizational chart for the Division of Aging. <br />Councilman Limpert moved for adoption. The motion was seconded by Councilman <br />McKay and passed unanimously. Ordinance No. 2004-145 adopted. <br />Ordinance No. 2004-146 introduced by Councilman Dailey on behalf of Mayor Musial <br />and the entire Council was given its third reading. An ordinance authorizing the Director <br />of Public Service to request proposals from professional architects for design services for <br />the City Hall revampment project, to include the City Hall entrance, lobby, and ADA <br />parking and accessibility route, further authorizing the Mayor, following approval of the <br />Board of Control, to enter into a contract with the architectural firm selected in the RFP <br />process, and declaring an emergency. Councilman Dailey moved for adoption. The <br />motion was seconded by Councilman Nashar and passed unanimously. Ordinance No. <br />2004-146 adopted. <br />Resolution No. 2004-84 introduced by Mayor Musial was given its second reading. A <br />resolution authorizing the Mayor to enter into an agreement with L & K Heating & <br />Cooling Inc. to perform annual maintenance of heating and cooling equipment at various <br />city facilities and declaring an emergency. Councilman Dailey moved for suspension of <br />the rule requiring three readings. The motion was seconded by Councilman Nashar and <br />passed unanimously. Councilman Dailey moved for adoption, and the motion was <br />seconded by Councilman Nashar. Roll call: Dailey, yes with commern that the <br />legislation had been reviewed by committee and had been reported out this evening. Roll <br />call continued: Nashar, yes; Miller, yes; McKay, yes; Gareau, yes; Limpert, yes. The <br />motion passed unanimously. Resolution No. 2004-84 adopted. <br />Ordinance No. 2004-150 introduced by Councilwoman Kasler on behalf of Mayor Musial <br />was given its second reading. An ordinance authorizing the Director of Public Safety to <br />request proposals for back-up plans examiner services; further, authorizing the Mayor to <br />enter into an agreement with the examiner selected in the RFP process and approved by <br />the Board of Control; and declaring an emergency as amended. Councilman Limpert <br />moved for suspension of the rule rewiring three readings and noted it had been reviewed <br />by committee. The motion was seconded by Councilman Gareau and passed <br />unanimously. Councilman Limpert moved for adoption. The motion was seconded by <br />Councilman Gareau and passed unanimously. Ordinance No. 2004-150 adopted. <br />Resolution No. 2004-151 introduced by Councilman Dailey on behalf of Mayor Musial <br />was given its second reading. A resolution authorizing the payment of two thousand <br />eight hundred thirty-three dollars ($2,833.00) to Climate-Tech, Inc. for HVAC <br />maintenance at Fire Stations One and Two. Councilman Dailey moved for suspension of <br />the rule requiring three readings and noted it had been reviewed by committee and <br />reported out this evening.
