Council Minutes of 9/7/2(}04 <br />Councilman Miller commented that he did criticize the signage because it is very <br />confusing. He will bring that issue back imo the Public Safety Committee and would <br />request that the Safety Director make any recommendations as suggested by the Police <br />Dept. The fact that we have a different age group probably dictates some sort of change. <br />He invited Mrs. Deis to present her recommendations for consideration at the committee <br />meeting. <br />LEC,~ISLATION <br />Resolution No. 2004-117 introduced by Mayor Musial was given its third reading. A <br />resolution adopting the ahernative tax budget of the City of North Olmsted for the fiscal <br />year beginning January 1, 2005, and submitting the same to the County Auditor, and <br />declaring an emergency. Councilwoman Kasler moved for adoption. The motion was <br />seconded by Councilman Gareau and passed unanimously. Resolution No. 2004-117 <br />adopted. <br />Ordinance No. 2004-120 introduced by Councilman Nashar was given its third reading. <br />An ordinance amending Section 351.11 of the Traffic Code to prohibit certain truck <br />parking within residence districts as amended. Councilman Nashar moved for adoption. <br />The motion was seconded by Councilman Gareau and passed unanimously. Ordinance <br />No. 2004-120 adopted. <br />Resolution No. 2004-123 introduced by Councilman Gareau was given its third reading. <br />```'~" A resolution authorizing the Mayor, on behalf of the city, to enter imo an agreement with <br />the U. S. Department of Housing and Urban Development ("HUD") for interim referrals <br />and other HUD services. Councilman Gareau moved for adoption. The motion was <br />seconded by Councilman Limpert and passed unanimously. Resolution No. 2004-123 <br />adopted. <br />Resolution No. 2004-128 introduced by Councilman Nashar on behalf of himself and <br />Councilman Miller was given its second reading. A resolution urging the Ohio General <br />Assembly to pass legislation banning the use of hand-held cell phones by operators of <br />motor vehicles on the roads and highways of the State of Ohio. <br />Resolution No. 2004-129 introduced by Mayor Musial was given its second reading. A <br />resolution authorizing the Mayor of the City of North Olmsted to enter into a renewal <br />agreement with the Department of the Navy for the lease of two (2) EA.AN/PVS-5 night <br />vision goggles to be used by the North Olmsted Police Department, and declaring an <br />emergency. <br />Ordinance No. 2004-130 introduced by Councilman Dailey on behalf of himself and <br />Council members Miller and Kasler was given its second reading. An ordinance creating <br />new Section 505.081 and amending Section 505.08 of Chapter 505 of the General <br />Offenses Code entitled "Animals and Fowl," in order to require that dog owners carry <br />materials or implements for collecting feces while walking their dogs, and further to more <br />9 <br /> <br />
