Noise was discussed. The project will not permit. outdoor loudspeakers and
current loudspeakers will be discontinued. Adjacent residences complained of the
practice of salesman and staff setting off car alarms to locate vehicles. This practice will
cease immediately and will be placed into any motion from this committee.
Water run off was discussed. The underground retention will maintain the water
on the lot and release it into the adjacent tributary through a six inch pipe. This will have
the effect of reducing run off from the current undeveloped site;
Traffic was discussed. The committee and the City Planner did not believe a
traffic study was in order given the proposed use and its location on Lorain Road. The
amount of trips generated on a major thoroughfare would have little impact upon the
traffic. As an aside, many residents complained of Ganley taking test drives through
Ranchview, West Ranchview and Timber Cove, ~I the plan is approved, this practice
most also stop.
Site access was discussed. The turning radius will be sufficient to permit truck
access from Rt. 252. Unloading will occur in the site only.
Failing to maintain the site was discussed. Ganley will be required to police trash
and debris and maintain the site according to code. ~~
Landscaping was mentioned. It must be maintained. Deviations from approved
plans are illegal in the City of North Olmsted. Ganley is not permitted to simply let
landscaping die and not replace it.
Considerable discussion took place concerning parking. The site requires the use
of 717 spaces to accommodate all three dealerships. Some members of council and the
audience felt this was unnecessary and promoted needless, useless blacktop.
