Council Minutes of 5/18/2004 <br />:s.~ Ordinance No. 2004-79 introduced by Councilman Gareau was given its third reading <br />~~ An ordinance amending Sections 109.02, 109.03, 109.04, and 109.06, of Chapter 109 of <br />the Administrative Code, entitled "Public Meetings," in order to provide for notice of <br />Charter Review Commission meetings and clarify language in various sections of <br />Chapter 109 and declaring an emergency. Councilman Gareau moved for adoption. The <br />motion was seconded by Councilman Limpert and passed unanimously. Ordinance No. <br />2004-79 adopted. <br />Resolution No. 2004-82 introduced by Councilman Limpert on behalf of Mayor Musial <br />was given its second reading. A resolution dispensing with the RFP process required by <br />Sections 111.03 et seq. of the Administrative Code, authorizing the Mayor to enter into a <br />renewal agreement with Jeffrey A. Grusenmeyer & Associates, Inc., for an additional one <br />year term, to serve as plans examiner for the North Olmsted Building Department, and <br />declaring an emergency. <br />Ordinance No. 2004-85 introduced by Councilman Dailey on behalf of Mayor Musial <br />was given its second reading. An ordinance amending Ordinance No. 2002-14 to <br />eliminate the "We Care" program for city employees and their dependents, and to <br />otherwise restate the program fees for the use of the city's Parks and Recreation facilities, <br />as amended. <br />Resolution No. 2004-86 introduced by Councilman Miller on behalf of Mayor Musial <br />was given its second reading. A resolution authorizing the Mayor to enter into an <br />agreement with SBC for the purchase, installation and maintenance of an updated "911" <br />positron telephone system for the North Olmsted Police and Fire Departments, and <br />declaring an emergency, as amended. Councilman Miller moved for suspension of the <br />rules requiring three readings noting that the legislation had been reviewed and <br />recommended by committee. The motion was seconded by Councilwoman Kasler and <br />passed unanimously. Councilman Miller moved for adoption. The motion was seconded <br />by Councilman Gareau and passed unanimously. Resolution No. 2004-86 adopted. <br />Resolution No. 2004-87 introduced by Councilman Limpert on behalf of Mayor Musial <br />was given its second reading. A resolution authorizing the Mayor to enter into an <br />agreement with the North Olmsted City School District to coordinate with the city's <br />Department of Human Resources to provide community service coordination and <br />intervention services as an alternative to or to supplement traditional discipline imposed <br />by school authorities, and declaring an emergency, as amended. Councilman Limpert <br />moved for suspension of the rules requiring three readings and noted the legislation had <br />been reviewed by committee. The motion was seconded by Councilman McKay and <br />passed unanimously. Councilman Limpert moved for adoption. The motion was <br />seconded by Councilman McKay and passed unanimously.
