Council Minutes of 5/18/2004 <br />,~, Resolution No. 2004-88 was introduced and placed on first reading by Mayor Musial. A <br />v, resolution authorizing the Mayor to enter into a contract with Able Corrtracting Group, <br />Inc. to provide and install a new backstop at Field Number Four in North Olmsted Pazk, <br />and declaring an emergency. Mayor Musial noted the backstop was in very poor <br />condition and needed to be replaced for the safety of the players and spectators. <br />Councilman McKay moved for suspension of the rules requiring three readings and <br />committee review. Mr. McKay inquired of Mr. Gazeau if he had said this was approved <br />by the budget this year. Mr. Gateau said it was, as monies were borrowed in the previous <br />year and have not yet been expended on capital improvements in the park. The Finance <br />Committee discussed possible projects during the budgeting process, and this was one of <br />them. The motion was seconded by Mr. Dailey. Mr. Miller commented that the <br />Recreation Commission also discussed this issue and is supportive of it. The motion <br />passed unanimously. Councilman McKay moved for adoption. The motion was <br />seconded by Councilman Dailey and passed unanimously. Resolution No. 2004-88 <br />adopted. <br />Resolution No. 2004-89 was introduced and placed on first reading by Mayor Musial. A <br />resolution accepting an Ohio Division of EMS Airway Equipmeirt Grant, and authorizing <br />the Mayor on behalf of the city to execute any contract or other documems necessary and <br />appropriate in order to effectuate acceptance of the grazrt. Councilman Miller moved for <br />suspension of the rules requiring three readings and committee review noting the <br />legislation had been discussed during caucus. The motion was seconded by Councilman <br />Nashaz and passed unanimously. Councilman Miller moved for adoption. The motion <br />was seconded by Councilman Nashaz and passed unanimously. Resolution No. 2004-89 <br />adopted. <br />Resolution No. 2004-90 was introduced and placed on first reading by Mayor Musial. A <br />resolution authorizing the Mayor to enter into a renewed one-year service contract with <br />Stephen Campbell & Associates, Inc., for maintenance of the 32 channel optical <br />recording equipment used by the North Olmsted Police Department, and declaring an <br />emergency. <br />Resolution No. 2004-91 was introduced and placed on first reading by Mayor Musial. A <br />resolution authorizing the Mayor of the City of North Olmsted to enter into a contract <br />with D. B. Hartt, Inc. for the purpose of providing specialized planning services to the <br />city in connection with the preparation of the city's 2004 Master Plan, and declaring an <br />emergency. Councilman Limpert moved for suspension of the rules requiring three <br />readings and committee review. The motion was seconded by Councilwoman Kasler and <br />passed unanimously. Councilman Limpert moved for adoption. The motion was <br />seconded by Councilman Gateau and passed unanimously. Resolution No. 2004-91 <br />adopted. <br />Resolution No. 2004-92 was introduced and placed on first reading by Councilman <br />Dailey. A resolution authorizing the payment of Ten Thousand Five Hundred Sixty-four <br />Dollars ($10,564.00) to PM Graphics for printing 20,000 copies of the 2004 Recreation <br />brochure, and declaring an emergency.
