Council Minutes of 4/6/2004 <br />LEGISLATION <br />Ordinance No. 99-79 introduced by Councilman Gareau was given its third reading for <br />the purpose of tabling the ordinance. An ordinance creating Chapter 556 of the General <br />Offenses Code of the City of North Olmsted, entitled "Lighting Nuisance Control," and <br />declaring an emergency, as amended. Councilman Gareau moved to table. The motion <br />was seconded by Councilwoman Kasler and passed unanimously. Ordinance No. 99-79 <br />tabled. <br />Ordinance No. 2004-14 introduced by Councilman Dailey was given its third reading. <br />An ordinance providing for the amendment of the Zone Map of the City of North <br />Olmsted by rezoning Permanent Parcel Number 231-26-005, 231-26-004, and 231-2b- <br />003, located immediately to the north of the former Cupachino's building on the <br />northwest corner of Clague Road and Lorain Road, from One Family Residence to <br />General Retail Business. Councilman Dailey moved for adoption. The motion was <br />seconded by Councilman Gareau. Roll call: Dailey, yes; Gareau, yes; Kasler, yes; <br />Miller, no; Limpert, yes; McKay, no; Nashar, yes. The motion passed with five yeas and <br />two nays. Ordinance No. 2004-14 adopted. <br />Ordinance No. 2004-33 introduced by Councilman Limpert on behalf of Councilwoman <br />Kasler was given its third reading. An ordinance providing for the issuance and sale of <br />$1,370,000 of notes, in anticipation of the issuance of bonds, to pay costs of improving <br />certain designated streets in the city, in cooperation with the Ohio Deparhnent of <br />Transportation and otherwise, by grading, draining, widening, replacing sections of <br />pavement, preparing the surface, surfacing and resurfacing, constructing and <br />reconstructing sections of the pavement base, curbs, gutters, catch basins, sidewalks and <br />driveway approaches and installing traffic signs, signalization and signalization systems, <br />where necessary, in each case together with the necessary appurtenances and work <br />incidental thereto, and declaring an emergency. Councilwoman Kasler moved for <br />adoption. The motion was seconded by Councilman Limpert and passed unanimously. <br />Ordinance No. 2004-33 adopted. <br />Ordinance No. 2004-34 introduced by Councilman Limpert on behalf of Councilwoman <br />Kasler was given its third reading. An ordinance providing for the issuance and sale of <br />$550,000 of notes, in anticipation of the issuance of bonds, to pay costs of acquiring <br />emergency rescue squad and other motor vehicles and related equipment for the city's <br />Fire Department, and declaring an emergency. Councilwoman Kasler moved for <br />adoption. The motion was seconded by Councilman Limpert and passed unanimously. <br />Ordinance No. 2004-34 adopted. <br />Ordinance No. 2004-35 introduced by Councilman Limpert on behalf of Councilwoman <br />Kasler was given its third reading. An ordinance providing for the issuance and sale of <br />notes, in the aggregate principal amount of $400,000, in anticipation of the issuance of <br />bonds, to pay costs of acquiring and installing computers and related equipment and <br />software for financial and administrative systems management, and declaring an <br />emergency. Councilwoman Kasler moved for adoption. The motion was seconded by <br />Councilman Gareau and passed unanimously. Ordinance No. 2004-35 adopted. <br />Ordinance No. 2004-36 introduced by Councilman Limpert on behalf of Councilwoman <br />Kasler was given its third reading.
