Council Minutes of 3/16!2004 <br />Resolution No. 2004-40 introduced by Mayor Musial was given its second reading. A <br />resolution authorizing the Mayor of the City of North Olmsted to enter into a renewed <br />service contract, for aten-month period commencing on Mazch 1, 2004 and concluding <br />on December 31, 2004, with ACS Government Systems, in order to provide maintenance <br />support for the current payroll, budget and accounting software system of the Finance <br />Department. Councilwoman Kasler moved for suspension of the rule requiring three <br />readings and noted the legislation had been discussed in committee. The motion was <br />seconded by Councilman Gazeau and passed unanimously. Mr. Miller asked Mrs. Copfer <br />if she anticipated bringing this forwazd again for renewal prior to the end of 2004? Mrs. <br />Copfer answered no. The department is converting onto a new system. The new <br />softwaze maintenance will be included in the contract price. She expects to be using the <br />new software by January 1. Councilwoman Kasler moved for adoption. The motion was <br />seconded by Councilman Gazeau and passed unanimously. Resolution No. 2004-40 <br />adopted. <br />Ordinance No. 2004-42 introduced by Councilman Gareau was given its second reading. <br />An ordinance amending Section 2 of Ordinance No.99-107 which established the Safe <br />Traffic Oriented Policing ("STOP"), in order to provide that a portion of the city <br />Prosecutor's salary may be paid from "STOP" funds. Councilman Gareau moved for <br />suspension of the rule requiring three readings and noted the legislation had been <br />reviewed in committee and recommended for passage. The motion was seconded by <br />Councilman Nashar and passed unanimously. Councilman Gareau moved for adoption. <br />The motion was seconded by Councilman Nashaz and passed unanimously. Ordinance <br />No. 2004-42 adopted. <br />Ordinance No. 2004-46 was introduced and placed on first reading by Mayor Musial. An <br />ordinance authorizing the Mayor of the City of North Olmsted to enter into a cancellation <br />and termination of lease agreement with the Board of Trustees of the Cuyahoga County <br />Public Library for the purpose of terminating the library's lease at the site of the old <br />North Olmsted Library Building located at 27425 Butternut Ridge Road, and declaring an <br />emergency. <br />Ordinance No. 2004-47 was inrtroduced and placed on first reading by Mayor Musial. An <br />ordinance authorizing the Mayor of the City of North Olmsted to enter into a lease <br />agreement with the Board of Trustees of the Cuyahoga County Public Library for the <br />purpose of operating a free public library at the site of the new North Olmsted Library <br />Building located at 27403 Lorain Road, and declaring an emergency. <br />Ordinance No. 2004-48 was introduced and placed on first reading by Mayor Musial. An <br />ordinance amending Sections 143.01 and 143.02, and creating new Section 179.04 of the <br />Codified Ordinances of the City of North Olmsted in order to place the Clerk of <br />Commissions and Assistant Clerk of Commissions under the Department of Planning and <br />to create a new position in the Department of Planning known as Secretary to the <br />Director of Planning, and declaring an emergency. <br /> <br />10 <br />
