Council Minutes of 1/20!2004 <br />Ordinance No. 2004-4 was introduced and placed on first reading by Councilman Gareau. <br />An ordinance repealing Ordinance No. 92-151 in order to abolish the Division of <br />Electronic Data Processing and the positions of Commissioner and Network Specialist <br />within said division; creating a new position of Electronic Data Processing Technician <br />within the Department of Finance; and declaring an emergency. <br />Ordinance No. 2004-5 was introduced and placed on first reading by Councilman Gareau. <br />An ordinance establishing rates of compensation for the newly created position of <br />Electronic Data Processing Technician and otherwise re-establishing those rates for <br />various administrative and legislative personnel for the years 2004 and 2005. <br />Ordinance No. 2004-6 was introduced and placed on first reading by Mayor Musial. An <br />ordinance authorizing the Mayor of the City of North Olmsted to renew the agreement <br />between the city and Kanie Skall Tipton for the provision of professional gymnastics <br />instruction services at the North Olmsted Recreation Center for two (2) years and <br />declaring an emergency. <br />Ordinance No. 2004-7 was introduced and placed on first reading by Mayor Musial. An <br />ordinance authorizing the Mayor of the City of North Olmsted to enter into a new, two <br />year services agreement with Bob's Ice Cream, Inc., DBA Quality Quick Snacks for <br />vending and video game machines at the North Olmsted Recreation Center and declaring <br />an emergency. Councilman Dailey moved for suspension of the rules requiring three <br />readings and committee review. The motion was seconded by Councilman Gareau. Roll <br />call: Dailey, yes; Gareau, yes; Kasler, yes; Miller, yes, commenting that the legislation <br />was discussed in caucus this evening. Roll call continued: McKay, yes; Limpert, yes; <br />Nashar, yes. The motion passed unanimously. Councilman Dailey moved for adoption. <br />The motion was seconded by Councilman McKay and passed unanimously. Ordinance <br />No. 2004-7 adopted. <br />Ordinance No. 2004-8 was introduced and placed on first reading by Councilman Gareau. <br />An ordinance authorizing the Director of Finance to request proposals from information <br />system consultants to provide computer services for the City of North Olmsted; further, <br />authorizing the Mayor to enter into an agreement with the computer consultant selected <br />in the RFP process; and declaring an emergency. <br />Ordinance No. 2004-9 was introduced and placed on first reading by Mayor Musial. An <br />ordinance authorizing the Mayor of the City of North Olmsted to enter into a lease <br />agreement for the Law Department offices at the Community Building for a one or two- <br />year term commencing on February 1, 2004, and declaring an emergency. <br />MISCELLANEOUS BUSINESS <br />Councilman Limpert scheduled an Intra-Governmental Relations Committee meeting for <br />7 p.m. on Tuesday, January 27, to discuss Ordinance 2004-4 and appointments to the <br />Charter Review Commission.
