Council Minutes of 12/20/2005 <br />2) A Finance Committee meeting was held on Tuesday, December 20, 2005. In <br />attendance were all of Council, the Mayor, Service Director and guests. Agenda items <br />were as follows: <br />• Ordinance 2005-170, the temporary appropriation for 2006, as it was amended to <br />include $2,000 for travel in the Mayor's appropriation. The Mayor explained that <br />this was for seminars and such that he would be attending on behalf of the city. <br />The committee recommended passage as amended. <br />• Ordinance 2005-172, as amended. The amended copy was presented to Council. <br />The committee unanimously recommended passage under suspension of the rule. <br />• Ordinance 2005-181, a transfer ordinance which will finalize the budget for 2005, <br />as amended. The committee unanimously recommended passage under <br />suspension of the rule. <br />• Resolution 2005-182 directing the Cuyahoga County Auditor to pay North <br />Olmsted all monies due throughout the year. The committee unanimously <br />recommended approval under suspension of the rule <br />• Resolution 2005-190, a resolution authorizing the Mayor to enter into a contract <br />with Ciuni & Panichi CPA's on behalf of the state for annual audits from 2005 <br />through 2008. These will be the auditors who will be working on behalf of the <br />state to do audits for the state on the City of North Olmsted. The committee <br />unanimously recommended passage under suspension of the rule. <br />Councilman Tallon moved to amend Ordinance No. 2005-170 in accordance with the <br />committee's recommendations. The motion was seconded by Councilman Gareau and <br />passed unanimously. Ordinance No. 2005-170 amended. <br />Councilman Tallon moved to amend Ordinance No. 2005-172 as per committee <br />recommendations. The motion was seconded by Councilman Ryan and passed <br />unanimously. Ordinance No. 2005-172 amended. <br />Councilman Tallon moved to amend Ordinance No. 2005-181 as per committee <br />recommendations. The motion was seconded by Councilman Ryan and passed <br />unanimously. Ordinance No. 2005-181 amended. <br />AUDIENCE PARTICIPATION <br />Terry Groden, 25211 Chase Drive, commented that, as a resident of Ward II and <br />representative of the Deerfield Park Civic Association, he will be eager to find out what <br />Floyd Browne has discovered in Phase I of the study. He asked when the public meeting <br />regarding RTA would be held. Mayor O'Grady said the meeting had been held in early <br />December and had been well attended. Primarily the concerns raised were two-fold: (1) <br />timeliness of the runs; (2) cleanliness of the vehicles. His feeling was that the RTA <br />General Mgr. and six executives did listen to the concerns, and he hopes they will make <br />needed changes. <br /> <br />10 <br />
