Council Minutes of 12/20/2005 <br />Ordinance No. 2005-172 introduced by Councilman Tallon was given its second reading. <br />An ordinance authorizing the Director of Finance to request proposals from certified <br />public accountants to provide GAAP conversion services far the preparation and <br />implementation of the 2005 Comprehensive Annual Financial Report (CAFR), and also, <br />as an option to be exercised by the city, for the 2006 report; and further authorizing the <br />Mayor, subject to approval of the Board of Control, to enter into an agreement with the <br />professional selected in the RFP process, and declaring an emergency, as amended. <br />Councilman Tallon moved for suspension of the rule requiring three readings. The <br />motion was seconded by Councilman Orlowski and passed unanimously. Councilman <br />Tallon moved for adoption. The motion was seconded by Councilman Orlowski and <br />passed unanimously. Ordinance No. 2005-172 adopted. <br />Ordinance No. 2005-173 introduced by Mayor O'Grady was given its second reading. <br />An ordinance accepting a traffic signal loop detector maintenance easement on real <br />property owned by Norcar Company, LLC, on Brookpazk Road and identified as <br />Permanent Parcel Number 236-OS-001. Councilman Miller moved for suspension of the <br />rule requiring three readings. The motion was seconded by Councilman Orlowski and <br />passed unanimously. Councilman Miller moved for adoption. The motion was seconded <br />by Councilman Orlowski and passed unanimously. Ordinance No. 2005-173 adopted. <br />Ordinance No. 2005-174 introduced by Mayor O'Grady was given its second reading. <br />An ordinance amending Section 159.03 of Chapter 159 of the Administrative Code <br />(Cultural Activities Commission) for the purpose of changing the length of the terms of <br />members appointed to the said Commission from one year to five years, and declaring an <br />emergency. Councilman Ryan moved for suspension of the rule requiring three readings. <br />The motion was seconded by Councilman Barker and passed unanimously. Councilman <br />Ryan moved for adoption, and the motion was seconded by Councilman Bazker. Roll <br />call: Ryan, yes; Barker, yes; Gazeau, yes; Miller, no; Nashaz, yes; Orlowski, yes; Tallon, <br />yes. The motion passed with six yes votes and one no vote. Ordinance No. 2005-174 <br />adopted. <br />Resolution No. 2005-176 introduced by Councilman Ryan on behalf of himself and <br />Councilmen Orlowski and Nashar was given its second reading. A resolution requesting <br />utility companies to try to trim trees in such a way as to fit into their natural setting. <br />Ordinance No. 2005-181 introduced by Mayor O'Grady was given its second reading. <br />An ordinance to make and transfer appropriations for current expenses and other <br />expenditures for the City of North Olmsted for the yeaz ending December 31, 2005 as <br />amended. Councilman Tallon moved for suspension of the rule requiring three readings. <br />The motion was seconded by Councilman Gareau and passed unanimously. Councilman <br />Tallon moved for adoption.
