Council Minutes of 5/4/2005 <br />owned by the City of North Olmsted's Waste Water Systems Department, and declaring <br />an emergency. <br />Resolution No. 2005-44 introduced by Mayor O'Grady was given its second reading. A <br />resolution authorizing the Director of Public Service to advertise for bids for the award of <br />a contract to provide new pavement markings to various streets at various locations in the <br />city as detailed in the specifications on file in the Engineering Department, and <br />authorizing the Mayor, following approval of the Boazd of Control, if necessary, to <br />contract for the same with the lowest and best bidder, and declaring an emergency. <br />Ordinance No. 2005-54 introduced by Councilman Gareau was given its second reading. <br />An ordinance amending Section 131.01 of the Administrative Code, entitled "Mayor's <br />Contract Authority," in order to increase the Mayor's limited authority to execute <br />contracts involving expenditures from two thousand dollars or less to five thousand <br />dollars or less. <br />Resolution No. 2005-58 introduced by Councilman Nashaz on behalf of Councilman <br />McKay was given its second reading. A resolution calling on the Congress of the United <br />States to reject plans to privatize Social Security by cutting Social Security's guaranteed <br />benefits and diverting money out of Social Security into private investment accounts and, <br />further, calling on Congress to commit to repaying to the Social Security Trust Fund the <br />monies it has taken and spent for other purposes, and declaring an emergency. <br />Resolution No. 2005-59 introduced by Mayor O'Grady was given its second reading. A <br />resolution authorizing the Mayor of the City of North Olmsted to enter into a renewed <br />service contract, for asix-month period commencing on July 1, 2005 and concluding on <br />December 31, 2005, with ACS Government Systems, Inc., in order to provide <br />maintenance support for the current payroll, budget and accounting software system of <br />the Finance Department. <br />Ordinance No. 2005-62 introduced by Councilman Gareau was given its second reading. <br />An ordinance amending Section 915.04 (User Charges) of the Streets, Utilities and Public <br />Services Code, in order to change the procedure for obtaining a refund in the sewer <br />charge refund program for users of less than one thousand cubic feet (MCF) of water per <br />billing quarter, and further to establish new qualifications for entitlement to participate in <br />the said program; and declaring an emergency, as amended. <br />Resolution No. 2005-65 was introduced and placed on first reading by Mayor O'Grady. <br />A resolution authorizing the Mayor to advertise for bids for asphalt pavement repairs, <br />recycling and resurfacing along with related catch basin, manhole, sidewalk and curbing <br />repairs at various locations in the City of North Olmsted as detailed in the specifications <br />on file, further authorizing the Mayor to enter into a contract with the lowest and best <br />bidder for said repairs, and declaring an emergency. <br />Resolution No. 2005-66 was introduced and placed on first reading by Mayor O'Grady. <br />® A resolution authorizing the Director of Public Service to advertise for bids for catch <br />13 <br />
