<br />Council Minutes of 4/19/2005 <br />• Donna Sabo, for the Boazd of Building Code Appeals, term of January 1, 2005 <br />through December 31, 2008. The committee was very pleased with Ms. Sabo. The <br />committee unanimously approved her appointment. Councilman Limpert moved that <br />Council approve the appointment of Donna Sabo to the Board of Building Code <br />Appeals. The motion was seconded by Councilman Miller and passed unanimously. <br />• Jason Werner, for the Architectural Review Board, term of January 1, 2005 through <br />December 31, 2006. Mr. Werner is a young man who shows great interest in the <br />community. The committee unanimously approved his appointment. Councilman <br />Limpert moved that Council approve the appointment of Donna Sabo to the Board of <br />Building Code Appeals. The motion was seconded by Councilman Nashar and <br />passed unanimously. <br />Councilman Miller, on behalf of Council, thanked Ms. Sabo and Mr. Werner for their <br />willingness to volunteer. <br />Councilman Miller, chairperson of the Public Safety, Health & Welfare Committee: 1) <br />The committee met on April 12 to discuss Ordinance 2005-35. This ordinance authorizes <br />the Mayor of the City of North Olmsted to enter into a renewed service contract with <br />B&C Communications, Inc. to maintain base radios and console as well as mobile in-car <br />radios for the Police Department, and declaring an emergency. This is a contract in the <br />amount of $2,220 for the year. It's broken out monthly, and the Safety Director indicated <br />this is the same amount as last year. The committee unanimously recommended <br />approval, and it will be passed under suspension of the rule this evening. <br />Councilwoman Kasler, member of the Public Safety, Health & Welfare Committee: 1) <br />The Public Safety Committee met prior to caucus this evening. Present were committee <br />members Kasler and Gareau and the rest of Council. A liquor permit transfer located at <br />Columbia Point Beverage and Deli, 5600 Columbia Road, was discussed. This is a name <br />transfer only, the type of permit is the same. The Police Department had no objection. <br />The committee recommended not to object to the transfer of the liquor permit. <br />Councilwoman Kasler mad a motion that Council not object to the transfer of the liquor <br />permit for Columbia Point Beverage and Deli, 5600 Columbia Road. The motion was <br />seconded by Councilman Gareau and passed unanimously. <br />Councilman Dailey, chairperson of the Recreation, Public Parks & Buildings Committee: <br />1) The committee met on Tuesday April 12. In attendance were committee members <br />Nashaz, Miller and Dailey; Council members, Mayor O'Grady, directors and guests. The <br />following legislation was discussed: <br />• Ordinance 2005-42, which has to do with the cell tower at Clague Park. Director <br />Jesse advised that this is an agreement that will allow for FiberTower Corporation to <br />place two microwave dishes onto the pole at Clague Pazk. With Director Jesse, was a <br />representative from FiberTower Corporation. They advised that the dishes were to be <br />2 feet in diameter and would blend in color with the pole. They answered the <br />question that there will be no advertising be on the dishes, and they will be along the <br />center line 109 feet off the ground. The monthly rent is $300 which will be shared <br />8 <br />
