Council Minutes of 1/18/2005 LEGISLATION Ordinance No. 2004-80 introduced by Mayor Musial was given its second reading. An ordinance amending Section 1363.07 of Chapter 1363 of the Real Property Maintenance Code, entitled "Duties and Responsibilities of Owners and Operators" in order to update and upgrade standards relating to the exterior appearance of residential buildings and premises in the City of North Olmsted, and declaring an emergency, as amended. Ordinance No. 2004-198 introduced by Mayor Musial was given its second reading. An ordinance authorizing the Director of Public Service to request proposals from construction management firms for part-time and full-time construction management services for the new Fire Station No. 2 project, further authorizing the Mayor, following approval of the Board of Control, to enter into a contract with the construction management firm selected in the RFP process, and declaring an emergency, as amended. Ordinance No. 2005-1 introduced by Councilwoman Kasler was given its second reading. An ordinance dispensing with the RFP process otherwise required by Sections 111.03 et seq. of the Administrative Code and authorizing the Mayor, subject to approval of the Board of Control, if necessary, to enter into afive-year agreement with the Walter H. Drane Company for the purpose of providing ordinance codification services to the City of North Olmsted. Resolution No. 2005-7 was introduced and placed on first reading by Councilman McKay on behalf of the Mayor and all of Council. A resolution expressing opposition to Ohio House Bill 175 and declaring an emergency. Resolution No. 2005-8 was introduced and placed on first reading by Mayor Musial. A resolution authorizing the Mayor of the City of North Olmsted to enter into a renewed service contract, for the one-year term of January 1, 2005 through December 31, 2005, with Medtronic Physio-Control Corp., in order to provide technical support for the maintenance of lifepacks and related equipment for the North Olmsted Fire Department, and declaring an emergency. Councilman McKay moved for suspension of the rules requiring three readings and committee review. The motion was seconded by Councilman Miller and passed unanimously. Resolution No. 2005-9 was introduced and placed on first reading by Councilman Dailey on behalf of Council Members Kasler, Miller and himself. A resolution authorizing the Mayor to enter into a project labor agreement with the Cleveland Building and Construction Trades Council in connection with the construction of new Fire Station No. 2, and declaring an emergency.
