Council Minutes of 1/18/2005 <br />LEGISLATION <br />Ordinance No. 2004-80 introduced by Mayor Musial was given its second reading. An <br />ordinance amending Section 1363.07 of Chapter 1363 of the Real Property Maintenance <br />Code, entitled "Duties and Responsibilities of Owners and Operators" in order to update <br />and upgrade standards relating to the exterior appearance of residential buildings and <br />premises in the City of North Olmsted, and declaring an emergency, as amended. <br />Ordinance No. 2004-198 introduced by Mayor Musial was given its second reading. An <br />ordinance authorizing the Director of Public Service to request proposals from <br />construction management firms for part-time and full-time construction management <br />services for the new Fire Station No. 2 project, further authorizing the Mayor, following <br />approval of the Board of Control, to enter into a contract with the construction <br />management firm selected in the RFP process, and declaring an emergency, as amended. <br />Ordinance No. 2005-1 introduced by Councilwoman Kasler was given its second reading. <br />An ordinance dispensing with the RFP process otherwise required by Sections 111.03 et <br />seq. of the Administrative Code and authorizing the Mayor, subject to approval of the <br />Board of Control, if necessary, to enter into afive-year agreement with the Walter H. <br />Drane Company for the purpose of providing ordinance codification services to the City <br />of North Olmsted. <br />Resolution No. 2005-7 was introduced and placed on first reading by Councilman <br />McKay on behalf of the Mayor and all of Council. A resolution expressing opposition to <br />Ohio House Bill 175 and declaring an emergency. <br />Resolution No. 2005-8 was introduced and placed on first reading by Mayor Musial. A <br />resolution authorizing the Mayor of the City of North Olmsted to enter into a renewed <br />service contract, for the one-year term of January 1, 2005 through December 31, 2005, <br />with Medtronic Physio-Control Corp., in order to provide technical support for the <br />maintenance of lifepacks and related equipment for the North Olmsted Fire Department, <br />and declaring an emergency. Councilman McKay moved for suspension of the rules <br />requiring three readings and committee review. The motion was seconded by <br />Councilman Miller and passed unanimously. Resolution <br />No. 2005-8 adopted. <br />Resolution No. 2005-9 was introduced and placed on first reading by Councilman Dailey <br />on behalf of Council Members Kasler, Miller and himself. A resolution authorizing the <br />Mayor to enter into a project labor agreement with the Cleveland Building and <br />Construction Trades Council in connection with the construction of new Fire Station No. <br />2, and declaring an emergency. <br />L` <br />9 <br />
