Council Minutes of 12/5/2006 <br />Ordinance No. 2006-192 introduced by Councilman Tallon on behalf of himself and <br />Council Members Miller, Barker, Gareau, Jones, and Orlowski was given its second <br />reading as amended. An ordinance establishing and fixing the compensation for Council- <br />at-Large members for the term of office commencing January 1, 2008 through December <br />31, 2011 and declaring an emergency as amended. <br />Ordinance No. 2006-195 introduced by Mayor O'Grady was given its second reading. <br />An ordinance amending Ordinance No. 98-140, as previously amended by Ordinance <br />Nos. 2000-29 and 2002-183, so as to increase the program fee for participants in the <br />city's Community Diversion Program, in order to address increases in program <br />expenditures. <br />Ordinance No. 2006-197 introduced by Council Member Dailey Jones on behalf of <br />herself, Councilman Barker -and Mayor O'Grady was given its second reading. An <br />ordinance amending Chapter 713 of the Business Regulation Code, entitled "Licensing of <br />Rental Units," in order to provide for the licensing of one, two and three family rental <br />units in the City of North Olmsted, and to establish a new licensing fee. <br />Resolution No. 2006-198 was introduced and placed on first reading by Mayor O'Grady <br />A resolution authorizing and consenting to the termination of the city's lease with the <br />First Integrated Regional Senior Transportation ("F.LR.S.T.") Consortium for the lease of <br />the city's real property at 26272 Butternut Ridge Road; further authorizing the Director <br />of Law, on behalf of the city, to negotiate a new lease for said city real property with the <br />Senior Transportation Connection of Cuyahoga County, Ohio ("STC"); further <br />authorizing the Mayor, on behalf of the city, to execute all documents necessary to <br />effectuate the lease termination and the new lease negotiated by the Director of Law; and <br />declaring an emergency. Councilman Barker moved for suspension of the rules requiring <br />three readings and formal committee review. The motion was seconded by Councilman <br />Miller and passed unanimously. Resolution No. 2006-198 <br />adopted. <br />MISCELLANEOUS BUSINESS <br />Council Member Jones scheduled a Streets & Transportation Committee meeting for 6:30 <br />p.m. on Tuesday, December 12 to discuss Ordinance 2006-194. The Community Life <br />Services Director and the Service Director are asked to attend. <br />Councilman Gareau scheduled two BZD Committee meetings <br />• Tuesday, December 12, at 6:45 p.m. to discuss proposals from Red Lobster, <br />North Olmsted Town Center, Third Federal Bank and Ordinance 2006-162. The <br />Planning Director and Law Director are asked to attend. He requested that <br />attorney Tom Lee and Chamber of Commerce representative Jim Burns be <br />notified of the meeting. <br />• Wednesday, December 20, at 6:45 p.m. to 7:15 p.m. the committee will discuss <br />Ordinance 2006-122.
