Council Minutes of 8/15/2006 <br />Councilman Barker moved to table. The motion was seconded by Councilman Miller <br />and passed unanimously. Resolution No. 2006-140 tabled. <br />Resolution No. 2006-143 was introduced and placed on first reading by Mayor O'Grady. <br />A resolution authorizing the Mayor, on behalf of the City of North Olmsted, to enter into <br />an agreement with the Board of Cuyahoga County Commissioners for the asset transfer <br />of equipment purchased with FY2004 Urban Area Security Initiative Grant Program <br />Funds, and declaring an emergency. Councilman Ryan moved for suspension of the rules <br />requiring three readings and formal committee review. The motion was seconded by <br />Councilman Barker and passed unanimously. Councilman Ryan moved for adoption. <br />The motion was seconded by Councilman Gareau and passed unanimously. Resolution <br />No. 2006-143 adopted. <br />Resolution No. 2006-144 was introduced and placed on first reading by Mayor O'Grady. <br />A resolution accepting a grant from the Ohio Department of Transportation (ODOT) far a <br />minor rehabilitation of Great Northern Boulevard from the IR-480 eastbound exit ramp to <br />Country Club Boulevard, authorizing the Mayor to enter into a LPA non-federal local-let <br />project agreement with ODOT setting forth the terms and conditions of the grant, and <br />declaring an emergency. Council Member Dailey Jones moved for suspension of the <br />rules requiring three readings and formal committee review, and the motion was <br />seconded by Councilman Gareau. Roll call: Jones, yes; Gareau, yes; Miller, yes; Ryan, <br />yes; Orlowski, yes, commenting he would like an explanation of what maintenance work <br />will be required on this road by the State of Ohio and by the city when the mad is <br />completed. Roll call continued: Barker, yes. The motion passed unanimously. Council <br />Member Dailey Jones moved for adoption, and the motion was seconded by Counctmari <br />Barker. Roll call: Jones, yes; Barker yes; Orlowski, yes; Miller, yes; Ryan, yes, <br />commenting he has a deep concern the city is getting into deep water on this. He trusts <br />that the committee looked it over, and he respects their opinions. Roll call continued: <br />Gareau, yes. The motion passed unanimously. Resolution No. 2006-144 adopted. <br />Ordinance No. 2006-145 was introduced and placed on first reading by Mayor O'Grady. <br />An ordinance amending Sections One and Two of Ordinance No. 2006-79, which <br />provided for the adoption of the new Residential Code of Ohio for One-, Two-, and <br />Three-Family Dwellings, in order to correct erroneous references therein to the 2004 <br />Residential Code. Council Member Dailey Jones moved for suspension of the rules <br />requiring three readings and formal committee review. The motion was seconded by <br />Councilman Miller and passed unanimously. An <br />ordinance amending Section 741.03 of Chapter 741 of the Business Regulation Code of <br />the City of North Olmsted, entitled "Deliveries to Commercial Establishments," so as to <br />render the time periods within which commercial deliveries near residential <br />neighborhoods are prohibited consistent with the loading and' unloading prohibitions <br />contained in Section 555.03(f) of the Noise Control Code. <br />13 <br />
