Council Minutes of 6/6/2006 <br />Ordinance No. 2006-11 introduced by Mayor O'Grady was given its second reading. An <br />ordinance authorizing the Mayor to request proposals from qualified persons and/or firms <br />to provide professional labor negotiator services for the years 2006-2007; and further <br />authorizing the Mayor, subject to approval of the Board of Control, to enter into an <br />agreement with the labor negotiator and/or firm selected in the RFP process and declaring <br />an emergency. <br />Ordinance No. 2006-113 introduced by Councilman Gareau was given its second <br />reading. An ordinance amending Section 1 of Ordinance No. 97-34, which established <br />the HoteUMotel Tax Fund, in order to expand the purposes for which monies in the said <br />fund maybe expended. <br />Ordinance No. 2006-117 introduced by Mayor O'Grady was given its second reading. <br />An ordinance authorizing the Director of Public Service to request proposals for <br />audiovisual consulting/engineering services in order to design an audiovisual update and <br />upgrade to the City Council Chambers and the City Council caucus room; and further <br />authorizing the Mayor, subject to approval of the Board of Control, to enter into an <br />agreement with the person or firm selected in the RFP process. <br />Ordinance No. 2006-119 was introduced and placed on first reading by Mayor O'Grady. <br />An ordinance to make and transfer appropriations for current expenses and other <br />expenditures for the City of North Olmsted for the year ending December 31, 2006 <br />Resolution No. 2006-120 was introduced and placed on first reading by Mayor O'Grady. <br />A resolution authorizing the Mayor to enter into atwo-year agreement with Verizon <br />Wireless providing for cell phone service for up to thirty-eight (38) City of North <br />Olmsted employees, and declaring an emergency. <br />Resolution No. 2006-121 was introduced and placed on first reading by Mayor O'Grady. <br />A resolution authorizing the Director of Public Service to advertise for bids for the <br />purchase and installation of complete replacement worm and spur gear drive assemblies <br />for the final collector drive at the North Olmsted Waste Water Treatment Plant, as <br />detailed in the plans and specifications on file, further authorizing the Mayor to enter into <br />a contract with the lowest and best bidder, after Board of Control approval, and repealing <br />Resolution No. 2006-74. Mayor O'Grady commented that, although the legislation was <br />new, the issue had been extensively discussed by City Council. Councilman Tallon <br />moved for suspension of the rules requiring three readings and formal committee review. <br />The motion was seconded by Council Member Dailey Jones and passed unanimously. <br />Councilman Tallon moved for adoption.
