Council Minutes of 5/3/2006 <br />Resolution No. 2006-91 was introduced and placed on first reading by Mayor O'Grady <br />on behalf of himself and Councilman Ryan. A resolution authorizing the Mayor to enter <br />into atwo-year contract with Thompson-West for the purpose of providing Westlaw <br />online legal research services for the city Law Department. <br />Resolution No. 2006-92 was introduced and placed on first reading by Councilman <br />Gareau. A resolution declaring the month of August Property Maintenance Awareness <br />Month in the City of North Olmsted. <br />Ordinance No. 2006-93 was introduced and placed on first reading by Mayor O'Grady. <br />An ordinance amending the range of compensation rates and salary ranges for the various <br />administrative and legislative personnel to transfer Youth Services employees <br />compensation rates and salary ranges from the Department of Community Life Services <br />to the newly established Division of Youth Services under the Department of Public <br />Safety; and to establish the range of compensation rates and salary ranges for the newly <br />created part-time Assistant Director of Law; and to otherwise re-state the compensation <br />rate ranges for said various administrative and legislative personnel for the years 2004 <br />through 2007, and declaring an emergency. <br />Ordinance No. 2006-94 was introduced and placed on first reading by Mayor O'Grady on <br />behalf of himself and Councilmen Barker and Miller. An ordinance amending ordinance <br />No. 2004-85 to change the price range for admission to the aquatics facilities, and to <br />otherwise restate the program fees far use of Park and Recreation facilities, and declaring <br />an emergency. Councilman Barker moved far suspension of the rules requiring three <br />readings and formal committee review, and the motion was seconded by Council <br />Member Dailey Jones. Roll call: Barker, yes; Dailey Jones, yes; Tallon, yes; Miller, yes; <br />Gareau, yes; Orlowski, yes; Ryan, no. The motion passed with six yes votes and one no <br />vote. Councilman Barker moved for adoption. The motion was seconded by <br />Councilman Gareau and passed unanimously. Ordinance No. 2006-94 adopted. <br />Ordinance No. 2006-95 was introduced and placed on first reading by Mayor O'Grady. <br />An ordinance accepting separate easements to the City of North Olmsted for a storm <br />water drainage system and for access to a storm water retention basin, as well as entering <br />into a Declaration of Protective Covenants to benefit the city, for Vienna Woods <br />subdivision. <br />MISCELLANEOUS BUSINESS <br />Councilman Gareau scheduled a BZD Committee meeting for Tuesday, May 9, at 7 p.m. <br />to discuss Wellington Place and Ordinance 2006-95. City Engineer Raig, Law Director <br />Dubelko, Planning Director Wenger and Assistant Building Commissioner Rymarczyk <br />are asked to attend. One hour will be allotted for this discussion. <br />Councilman Tallon scheduled a Finance Committee meeting immediately following the <br />BZD Committee on May 9 to discuss Resolution 2006-91 and Ordinance 2006-93. The <br />Finance Director, Safety Director and Mayor are asked to attend. <br />16 <br />
