Council Minutes of 12/4/2007 <br />Ordinance No. 2007-140 was introduced and placed on first reading by Mayor O'Grady. <br />An ordinance to make and transfer appropriations for current expenses and other <br />expenditures for the City of North Olmsted for the year ending December 31, 2007. <br />Resolution No. 2007-141 was introduced and placed on first reading by Mayor O'Grady. <br />A resolution authorizing the Mayor, on behalf of the city, to enter into and execute an <br />agreement with the Senior Transportation Connection of Cuyahoga County, Ohio <br />("STC"), extending the Tatter's lease of real property owned by the city and located at <br />26272 Butternut Ridge Raad to June 30, 2008; and declaring an emergency. <br />Resolution No. 2007-142 was introduced and placed on first reading by Mayor O'Grady. <br />A resolution authorizing the Mayor, on behalf of the city, to enter into, execute and renew <br />an agreement with the Southwest Suburban Retired and Senior Volunteer Program <br />("RSVP") for the purpose of obtaining retired and senior volunteers referred by RSVP to <br />assist at the North Olmsted Senior Center; and declaring an emergency. <br />Ordinance No. 2007-143 was introduced and placed on first reading by Mayor O'Grady. <br />An ordinance amending Section 351.20 of the Traffic Code in order to increase the <br />penalties for handicapped parking violations so as to mirror current State law. <br />Resolution No. 2007-144 was introduced and placed on first reading by Mayor O'Grady. <br />A resolution authorizing the Director of Public Service to apply for, and the Mayor to <br />accept and enter into a water pollution control loan fund agreement or agreements on <br />behalf of the City of North Olmsted, Ohio, for planning, design andJor construction of <br />waste water facilities; and designating a dedicated repayment source for the loan or loans. <br />Councilman Tallon moved for suspension of the rules requiring three readings and <br />committee review. The motion was seconded by Councilman Miller and passed <br />unanimously. Councilman Tallon moved for adoption. The motion was seconded by <br />Councilman Miller and passed unanimously. Resolution No. 2007-144 adopted. <br />Resolution No. 2007-145 was introduced and placed on first reading by Mayor O'Grady. <br />A resolution authorizing the Mayor, on behalf of the City of North Olmsted, to accept a <br />grant from the Northeast Ohio Public Energy Council ("NOPEC") to be used for energy <br />conservation purposes, and declaring an emergency. Councilman Tallon moved for <br />suspension of the rules requiring three readings and committee review. The motion was <br />seconded by Councilman Miller and passed unanimously. The motion was seconded by Councilman Miller and passed unanimously. <br />Resolution No. 2007-145 adopted. <br />Resolution No. 2007-146 was introduced and placed on first reading by Mayor O'Grady. <br />A resolution authorizing the Director of Human Resources, on behalf of the City of North <br />Olmsted, to apply to the Bureau of Workers Compensation for allowance to begin aself- <br />insured workers compensation program for North Olmsted employees; further <br />authorizing the Mayor to execute any contracts or related papers required to effectuate <br />such aself-insured program; and declaring an emergency. <br />7 <br />
