The City of North Olmsted has used the Bedford
Hts. city jail for a considerable amount of time. The majority of our detainees
are released on bond or held until a court hearing. The majority of our candidates
are remitted to the Bedford Hts. city jail after a court date, and all transfers are
performed by on-duty officers. There are very few Sate certified jails in northern
Ohio for long-term incarceration. Council members requested additional
6
_ .
