Coancil Minutes of $/21/2007 <br />and passed unanimously. Resolution No. 2007-88 adopted. (The Mayor welcomed all of <br />Council to co-sponsor, and the legislation was adopted on behalf of the Mayor and entire <br />City Council.) <br />Resolution No. 2007-89 introduced by Mayor O'Grady was given its second reading. A <br />resolution authorizing the Director of Planning to proceed with negotiations for the sale <br />of city-owned real property on Lorain Road identified as Permanent Parcel Number 233- <br />25-009 and known as the former site of North Olmsted Fire Station 2, and further <br />authorizing the Mayor to enter into a contract to sell the real property. Councilman <br />Tallon moved for suspension of the rule requiring three readings noting the legislation <br />had been heard in committee, and the motion was seconded by Councilman Miiier. Roll <br />call: Tallon, yes; Miller, yes; Orlowski, yes; Gareau, yes; Jones, yes; Ryan, no, with <br />comment that, when we are selling city property, we should give the public at least a <br />chance to have three readings so, if they want to come in and address it, they can. He <br />thinks it's too important to waive the rule at this time. Roll call continued: Barker, yes. <br />The motion passed with six yes votes and one no vote. Councilman Tallon moved for <br />adoption, and the motion was seconded by Councilman Miller. Roll call: Tallon, yes; <br />Miller, yes, with comment that Mr. Ryan's comments are very thought provoking. <br />However, the property will be advertised for sale. It will not be sold in the next few days, <br />and the public will have an opportunity to take a look at it and still come back and ask <br />questions if necessary, either of the Council or the administration. Roll call continued: <br />Barker, yes; Ryan, no; Orlowski, yes; Jones, yes; Gareau, yes. The motion passed with <br />six yes votes and one no vote. Resolution No. 2007-89 adopted. <br />Resolution No. 2007-90 introduced by Mayor O'Grady was given its second reading. A <br />resolution authorizing the Administrator of the Division of Aging to apply for federal <br />Title III program grant funds for fiscal year 2008; further authorizing the Mayor, if the <br />application is granted, to enter into an agreement with the Western Reserve Area Office <br />on Aging to accept said grant funds; and declaring an emergency. Councilman Ryan <br />moved for suspension of the rule requiring three readings. The motion was seconded by <br />Councilman Tallon and passed unanimously. Councilman Ryan moved for adoption. The <br />motion was seconded Councilman Tallon and passed unanimously. Resolution No. <br />2007-90 adopted. <br />Ordinance No. 2007-91 introduced by Mayor O'Grady was given its second reading. An <br />ordinance authorizing the Mayor to renew the contract between the city and Karrie Skall <br />Tipton for the provision of professional gymnastics instruction services at the North <br />Olmsted Recreation Center for an additional two (2) years and declaring an emergency. <br />Councilman Barker moved for suspension of the rule requiring three readings noting the <br />legislation had been reviewed in committee. The motion was seconded by Council <br />Member Dailey Jones and passed unanimously. Councilman Barker moved for adoption. <br />The motion was seconded by Council Member Dailey Jones and passed unanimously. <br />Ordinance No. 2007-91 adopted. <br />Resolution No. 2007-92 introduced by Mayor O'Grady was given its second reading. A <br />resolution authorizing the Director of Human Resources to advertise for bids for <br />20 <br />.. <br />
