Council Minutes of 6/19/2007 <br /> <br />• Ordinance 2007-73, an ordinance authorizing the Mayor to enter into an <br />agreement with the Greater Cleveland Regional Transit Authority providing for <br />the maintenance and repair costs for Kennedy Ridge Road including the terminus <br />thereof and declaring an emergency. This provides for the payment of $24,000 <br />from RTA to the City of North Olmsted, which money will be used to repave <br />Kennedy Ridge Road once this is completed. The Service Director indicated he <br />expects that could be done in 2008. The committee recommended the legislation <br />for approval. <br />• Ordinance 2007-74, an ordinance consenting to and vacating a portion of <br />Kennedy Ridge Road and approving the vacation plat presented by the Greater <br />Cleveland Regional Transit Authority and declaring an emergency. They have <br />taken a portion of Kennedy Ridge Road which used to be the city street and <br />turned it into the Greater Cleveland RTA Park-n-Ride. Therefore, this legislation <br />is necessary to vacate the portion of Kennedy Ridge Road that was otherwise <br />dedicated. The committee recommended the legislation for approval. <br />• Ordinance 2007-75, an ordinance authorizing the acceptance of an access <br />easement for the hammerhead terminus of Kennedy Ridge Road located on <br />property owned by Greater Cleveland Regional Transit Authority, GCRTA, and <br />as further described and recorded on the Cuyahoga County Maps and Records and <br />declaring an emergency. The city accepts accept the easement for the <br />hammerhead on the Greater Cleveland RTA property which they will be <br />responsible for maintaining in the future pursuant to the easement agreement. <br />The committee unanimously recommended approval of the legislation. <br />• Ordinance 2007-76, an ordinance accepting a water main easement on property <br />owned by Greater Cleveland Regional Transit Authority, GCRTA, as further <br />described and recorded on the Cuyahoga County Maps and Records and declaring <br />an emergency. The city needs a proper easement for purposes to locate and install <br />water lines in the future on the property. The legislation does have an easement <br />agreement attached. The committee unanimously recommended approval. <br />2) The Walters Dentistry matter was forwarded to the BZD Committee by the Planning <br />& Design Commission. Walters Advanced Dentistry, 4780 Clague Road, a proposal <br />consisting of constructing a new dentist office and site improvements. The existing home <br />on the property would be demolished to accommodate the development. The committee <br />meeting is tentatively set for June 26 at 7 p.m. as he is not sure committee members can <br />attend. Also, pursuant to the Rules of Council, he would reserve the right to relieve that <br />matter from committee in the event that there is no committee meeting to be held on it. <br />Councilman Tallon, chairperson of the Finance Committee: 1) The committee met on <br />Monday, June 11, 2007. In attendance were committee members Miller, Ryan and <br />Tallon; City Council Members; Service Director Limpert, Law Director Dubelko, <br />Planning Director Wenger, Mayor O'Grady. The business before the committee <br />consisted of Resolutions 2007-65, 2007-66 and Ordinance 2007-68: <br />• Resolutions 2007-65 and 2007-66 were discussed together.
