Council Minutes of 6/19/2007

Councilman Barker. Roll call: Tallon, yes; Barker, yes; Ryan, no; Gareau, yes; Jones,
yes; Orlowski, no. The motion for suspension of rules, which requires atwo-thirds
affirmative vote, failed with four yes votes and two no votes.
Councilman Gareau asked for a point of order on the method of tabling the legislation as
listed on the agenda. Law Director Dubelko explained each title did not have to be read.
If each piece of legislation was identified, that would be sufficient.
Councilman Gareau made a motion to table the following legislation if there was no
request to divide the question: 2006-147, 2006-129, 2006-124, 2006-123, 2006-117,
2006-86, 2006-80, 2006-65, 2006-58, 2005-61, 2005-10, 2004-101, 2003-173, 2003-164,
2003-93. Tabled.
Ordinance No. 2006-124. An ordinance amending Section 927.10 of Chapter 927 (Storm
Water Management and Urban Sediment Pollution Abatement Systems) of the Streets,
Utilities and Public Services Code, in order to establish new grounds for granting
variances from the storm water management requirements of Section 927.07(c), and
declaring an emergency. Tabled.
Ordinance No. 2006-123. An ordinance amending Section 927.07 of Chapter 927 (Storm
Water Management and Urban Sediment Pollution Abatement Systems) of the Streets,
Utilities and Public Services Code, in order to allow overland flow on non-residential
properties from storm water detention or retention systems, and declaring an emergency.
Tabled.
Ordinance No. 2006-117.
