Council Minutes of 4/17/2007 <br />colleagues for their help, input and support on this ordinance. This came about because <br />of an incident that happened in Deerfield this winter. The present ordinance before <br />adoption of this was a reactive ordinance, but this legislation is more proactive and it <br />makes dog owners more responsible. Roll call continued: Jones, yes; Miller, yes; <br />Gareau, yes; Tallon, yes; Orlowski, yes. The motion passed unanimously. Ordinance <br />No. 2007-25 adopted. <br />Resolution No. 2007-33 introduced by Mayor O'Grady was given its second reading. A <br />resolution authorizing the Mayor to enter into a multi jurisdictional agreement for the <br />interchange of Bomb Squad and/or SWAT Unit services, and declaring an emergency. <br />Councilman Orlowski moved for suspension of the rule requiring three readings noting <br />the legislation had been reviewed in committee. The motion was seconded by <br />Councilman Barker and passed unanimously. Councilman Orlowski moved for adoption. <br />The motion was seconded by Councilman Barker and passed unanimously. Resolution <br />No. 2007-33 adopted. <br />Resolution No. 2007-34 introduced by Councilman Orlowski on behalf of himself, <br />Mayor O'Grady and Councilman Barker was given its second reading. A resolution <br />authorizing the Mayor of the City of North Olmsted to file an application with the Ohio <br />Historical Society, at the request of the Landmarks Commission and in cooperation with <br />the Olmsted Historical Society, for an Ohio historical marker for Springvale Ballroom. <br />Ordinance No. 2007-35 introduced by Mayor O'Grady was given its second reading. An <br />ordinance amending Section 957.01 of Chapter 957 (Alcoholic Beverages on Public <br />Grounds) of the Codified Ordinances of the City of North Olmsted in order to permit <br />alcohol to be sold and consumed at North Olmsted Park in conjunction with the 2007 <br />AFL-CIO Labor Day Parade. <br />Resolution No. 2007-36 introduced by Mayor O'Grady was given its second reading. A <br />resolution authorizing the Director of Human Resources to purchase new <br />telecommunications equipment and related software and appurtenances for City Hall, the <br />Police Department, Fire Stations #1 and #2, the Recreation Center, the Senior Center, the <br />Springvale Ballroom and Golf Course, and the Wastewater Treatment Plant, through the <br />State Purchase Program; and further authorizing the Mayor to execute all necessary <br />contract and other documents required. Councilman Tallon moved for suspension of the <br />rule requiring three readings and noted the legislation had been reviewed in committee. <br />The motion was seconded by Councilman Barker and passed unanimously. Councilman <br />Tallon moved for adoption. The motion was seconded by Councilman Barker and passed <br />unanimously. Resolution No. 2007-36 adopted. <br />Resolution No. 2007-37 introduced by Mayor O'Grady was given its second reading. A <br />resolution authorizing the Mayor, on behalf of the City of North Olmsted, to enter into a <br />series of new utility service contracts with AT&T to provide telephone and voicemail <br />services to the City of North Olmsted. Councilman Tallon moved for suspension of the <br />rule requiring three readings and noted the legislation had been reviewed in committee. <br />The motion was seconded by Councilman Miller and passed unanimously.
