Council Minutes of 2/20/2007 <br />was seconded by Council Member Dailey Jones and passed unanimously. Mayor <br />O'Grady thanked Councilwoman Nicole Dailey Jones for her participation on the Fair <br />Housing Review Board. It has been significant and it has made a significant difference. <br />He thanks her for bringing forward this legislation. Councilman Ryan moved for <br />adoption, and the motion was seconded by Council Member Dailey Jones. Roll call: <br />Ryan, yes; Jones, with comment that she would like to express her appreciation for all of <br />Council's support for the fair housing program and for the administration's support, <br />especially the Law Dept. There are a lot of hours that actually go into this program, <br />especially now that we have actually gotten off the ground and complaints have started to <br />roll in. She can't thank the Law Dept. enough for their work in this area. This program <br />has only made North Olmsted better. She certainly appreciates everyone's support. Roll <br />call continued: Barker, yes; Gareau, yes; Tallon, yes; Orlowski, yes; Miller, yes. The <br />motion passed unanimously. Resolution No. 2007-12 adopted. <br />Resolution No. 2007-16 introduced by Mayor O'Grady was given its second reading. A <br />resolution authorizing adoption of the updated mitigation plan prepared by the Cuyahoga <br />County Division of Emergency Services and entitled the "Countywide All Natural <br />Hazards Mitigation Plan for Cuyahoga County," as required by the Disaster Mitigation <br />Act of 2000, and declaring an emergency. Councilman Ryan moved for suspension of <br />the rule requiring three readings. The motion was seconded by Councilman Barker and <br />passed unanimously. Councilman Ryan moved for adoption. Resolution No. 2007-16 adopted. <br />Ordinance No. 2007-17 was introduced and placed on first reading by Mayor O'Grady. <br />An ordinance to make appropriations for current expenses and other expenditures for the <br />City of North Olmsted for the year ending December 31, 2007. <br />Resolution No. 2007-18 was introduced and placed on first reading by Council Member <br />Dailey Jones on behalf of herself, Councilmen Barker and Miller, the entire City Council, <br />and Mayor O'Grady. A resolution encouraging the Special Olympics Board of Trustees <br />to select northeast Ohio as the site for the 2011 Summer World Games, and declaring an <br />emergency. Council Member Dailey Jones moved for suspension of the rules requiring <br />three readings and committee review. The motion was seconded by Councilman Barker <br />and passed unanimously. Council Member Dailey Janes moved for adoption. The <br />motion was seconded by Councilman Barker and passed unanimously. Resolution No. <br />2007-18 adopted. <br />Resolution No. 2007-19 was introduced and placed on first reading by Mayor O'Grady. <br />A resolution authorizing the Director of Public Service to advertise for bids for asphalt <br />resurfacing on concrete streets and asphalt recycling on asphalt streets along with related <br />catch basin, manhole, sidewalk and curbing repairs at various locations in the City of <br />North Olmsted as detailed in the specifications on file, further authorizing the Mayor to <br />enter into a contract with the lowest and best bidder for said repairs, and declaring an <br />emergency. <br />10 <br />
