City Council Minutes of 1/16/2007
situation. Other residents feel strongly that this area should be rezoned. She believes the
residential office zoning being proposed is going to ultimately benefit the residents living
there, the businesses located there, and the future of the city. The zoning change allows
for businesses to flourish while protecting the residents and their properties. Many
people have weighed in on this discussion for many months, and she believes that
following the recommendation to rezone this area will provide a different approach to try
and stimulate the development of some of the lots in the area, and also to further
economic development in our city.
