:~ <br />Council Minutes 10-21-2008 <br />;~,,, <br />,..,' <br />Resolution No. 2008-129 introduced by Mayor O'Grady was given its second reading. A <br />resolution approving of and authorizing the Mayor to enter a collective bargaining <br />agreement with the Ohio Patrolman's Benevolent Association for the city's dispatchers <br />for the period January 1, 2007 to December 31, 2008 and declaring an emergency as <br />amended. <br />Resolution No. 2008-133 was introduced and placed on first reading by Mayor O'Grady. <br />A resolution authorizing the Mayor to enter into a contract with the Cuyahoga County <br />General Health District for the year 2009, and declaring an emergency. Councilman <br />Ryan moved for suspension of the rules requiring three readings and committee review. <br />The motion was seconded by Councilman Orlowski and passed unanimously. <br />Councilman Ryan moved for adoption, and the motion was seconded by Councilman <br />Orlowski. Roll call: Ryan, yes; Orlowski, yes, with comment that he would like the total <br />cost to the city to accurately reflect the current population of our city as based on a per <br />capita charge. Roll call continued: Jones, yes; Kearney, yes; Mahoney, yes; Gazeau, yes; <br />Barker, yes. The motion passed unanimously. Resolution No. 2008-133 adopted. <br />Resolution No. 2008-134 was introduced and placed on first reading by Council Member <br />Dailey Jones. A resolution in support of Library Issue 127 and declaring an emergency. <br />Council Member Dailey Jones moved far suspension of the rules requiring three readings <br />and committee review. The motion was seconded by Councilman Mahoney and passed <br />unanimously. Council Member Dailey Jones moved for adoption, and the motion was <br />seconded by Councilman Mahoney. Roll call: Jones, yes; Mahoney, yes, with comment <br />that he is aware that the Bay Village City Council has unanimously supported Library <br />Issue 127. Though he knows there are issues with resolutions and perhaps our own <br />library here in North Olmsted, he found this to be a worthwhile cause and would urge all <br />of the members of Council to vote in support of the legislation. Roll call continued: <br />Gareau, yes; Barker, yes; Orlowski, yes; Ryan, yes; Kearney, yes. The motion passed <br />unanimously. Resolution No. 2008-134 adopted. <br />Ordinance No. 2008-135 was introduced and placed on first reading by Councilman <br />Gareau on behalf of himself and Mayor O'Grady. An ordinance amending Section <br />1333.01 of the Building Code in order to more effectively require debris and other <br />materials to be removed from demolition sites. <br />Resolution No. 2008-136 was introduced and placed on first reading by Mayor O'Grady. <br />A resolution authorizing the Mayor, on behalf of the City of North Olmsted, to enter into <br />a contract with the West Life Publishing Co. for the purpose of publishing a North <br />Olmsted Magazine for the 2009 calendar year. Councilman Gareau moved for <br />suspension of rules requiring three readings and committee review. The motion was <br />seconded by Councilman Mahoney and passed unanimously.
