Council Minutes of 5/20/2008 <br /> <br />Resolution No. 2008-46 introduced by Mayor O'Grady was given its second reading. A <br />resolution authorizing the Mayor to enter into, on behalf of the City of North Olmsted, <br />and to certify adoption of a Joint Economic Development Zone (JEDZ) Agreement with <br />the City of Avon, Ohio. Councilman Ryan moved for suspension of the rules requiring <br />three readings. The motion was seconded by Councilman Barker and passed <br />unanimously. Councilman Ryan moved for adoption. The motion was seconded by <br />Councilman Barker and passed unanimously. Resolution No. 2008-46 adopted. <br />Resolution No. 2008-47 introduced by Mayor O'Grady on behalf of himself and Council <br />Members Barker, Dailey Jones, Kearney, Mahoney, Orlowski and Ryan was given its <br />second reading. A resolution urging the United States Senate of the 110th United States <br />Congress to pass HR 569 entitled The Water Quality Investment Act of 2007 and <br />declaring an emergency. Councilman Ryan moved for suspension of the rules requiring <br />three readings. The motion was seconded by Councilman Mahoney and passed <br />unanimously. Councilman Ryan moved for adoption. The motion was seconded by <br />Councilman Mahoney and passed unanimously. Resolution No. 2008-47 adopted. <br />Ordinance No. 2008-61 introduced by Mayor O'Grady was given its second reading. An <br />ordinance to make and transfer appropriations for current expenses and other <br />expenditures for the City of North Olmsted for the year ending December 31, 2008. <br />Councilman Gareau moved for suspension of the rules requiring three readings noting the <br />legislation had been reviewed in committee. The motion was seconded by Councilman <br />Barker and passed unanimously. Councilman Gareau moved for adoption. The motion <br />was seconded by Councilman Barker and passed unanimously. Ordinance No. 2008-61 <br />adopted. <br />Resolution No. 2008-63 introduced by Mayor O'Grady was given its second reading. A <br />resolution authorizing the Director of Public Service to advertise for bids for the award of <br />a contract to provide new pavement markings to various streets at various locations in the <br />city, as detailed in the specifications on file in the Engineering Department, and <br />authorizing the Mayor, following approval of the Board of Control, if necessary, to <br />contract for the same with the lowest and best bidder, and declaring an emergency. <br />Council Member Dailey Jones moved for suspension of the rules requiring three readings <br />noting the legislation had been reviewed in committee. The motion was seconded by <br />Councilman Ryan and passed unanimously. Council Member Dailey Jones moved for <br />adoption. The motion was seconded by Councilman Ryan and passed unanimously. <br />Resolution No. 2008-63 adopted. <br />Resolution No. 2008-66 introduced by Mayor O'Grady was given its second reading. A <br />resolution authorizing the Director of Public Service to advertise for bids for cracksealing <br />on various streets in the City of North Olmsted, as per specifications on file in his office, <br />and authorizing the Mayor to enter into a contract for same. Council Member Dailey <br />Jones moved for suspension of the rules requiring three reading noting the legislation had <br />been reviewed in committee.
