Councilman
Orlowski moved for adoption, and the motion was seconded by Councilman Gazeau.
Roll call: Orlowski, yes; Ryan, yes; Mahoney, yes; Kearney, yes; Barker, yes; Gazeau,
yes, with comment that his support of the legislation is more in the hope that the
legislature engages in a meaningful debate about the problems associated with our health
care with his fellow Ohioans and not so much about the issue of Single Payer Action
Network although that's one available option. He hopes we begin an earnest debate
about these particular issues and how important they are to people and what kind of an
impact health care costs are having on people's lives. His vote is yes with the hope that it
encourages a debate, and a solution is found, no matter what solution that may be. Roll
call continued: Jones, yes. The motion passed unanimously.
