t~ <br />Council Minutes of 2/5/2008 <br />Resolution No. 2008-3 introduced by Councilman Gareau was given its second reading <br />A resolution urging the Cuyahoga County Engineer and the Director of the Ohio <br />Department of Transportation ("ODOT") to inspect Lorain Road (SR-10) from <br />Canterbury Road to the City's east corporation line in order to determine whether the <br />2006 resurfacing of Lorain Road, which is badly cracking, by a State of Ohio contractor <br />was performed in accordance with ODOT bid specifications and all other ODOT <br />roadway and other requirements and standards, and declaring an emergency. <br />Resolution No. 2008-7 introduced by Mayor O'Grady was given its second reading. A <br />resolution authorizing the Mayor to enter into various agreements with Great America <br />Leasing Corporation for the placement and service of a new postage application machine <br />for the various city departments' mail. <br />Resolution No. 2008-10 introduced by Mayor O'Grady was given its second reading. A <br />resolution authorizing the Director of Planning to proceed with negotiations for the sale <br />of city-owned real property in the North Olmsted Industrial Park, identified as Permanent <br />Parcel Numbers 234-11-139 and 234-11-141, and further authorizing the Mayor to enter <br />into a contract to sell the real property, and declaring an emergency. Councilman Gareau <br />made a motion to suspend the rule requiring three readings. The motion was seconded by <br />Councilman Barker and passed unanimously. Resolution <br />No. 2008-10 adopted. <br />Ordinance No. 2008-13 introduced by Mayor O'Grady was given its second reading. An <br />ordinance providing for the issuance and sale of $1,270,000 of notes, in anticipation of <br />the issuance of bonds, for the purpose of improving certain designated streets in the city, <br />in cooperation with the Director of Transportation of the State of Ohio and Cuyahoga <br />County and otherwise, by grading, draining, constructing, reconstructing and <br />rehabilitating the pavement base, curbs and sidewalks and adjusting, rehabilitating and <br />reconstructing catch basins, manholes and water valve boxes, where necessary, preparing <br />the surface and surfacing and resurfacing, in each case together with the necessary <br />appurtenances and work incidental thereto, and declaring an emergency. <br />Ordinance No. 2008-14 introduced by Mayor O'Grady was given its second reading. An <br />ordinance providing for the issuance and sale of $100,000 of notes, in anticipation of the <br />issuance of bonds, for the purpose of acquiring and installing telecommunications <br />equipment and related software and appurtenances, and declaring an emergency. <br />Ordinance No. 2008-15 introduced by Mayor O'Grady was given its second reading. An <br />ordinance providing for the issuance and sale of $1,000,000 of notes, in anticipation of <br />the issuance of bonds, for the purpose of improving certain designated streets in the city <br />by preparing the surface and resurfacing with asphaltic concrete, together with the <br />necessary appurtenances and work incidental thereto. <br />Resolution No. 2007-16 was introduced and placed on first reading by Mayor O'Grady. <br />A resolution authorizing the Mayor to enter into aone-year renewal contract with TAC <br />11 <br />
