aa# <br />Council Minutes of 1/15/2008 <br />Resolution No. 2008-2 introduced by Mayor O'Grady was given its second reading. A <br />resolution authorizing the Director of Public Service to advertise for bids for a one year <br />contract (with an additional automatic one year extension) for laboratory analytical <br />services for the Wastewater Treatment Plant, as per specifications on file in his office, <br />and authorizing the Mayor, subject to approval by the Board of Control, to enter into a <br />contract for same with the lowest and best bidder, and declaring an emergency. <br />Resolution No. 2008-4 introduced by Mayor O'Grady was given its second reading. A <br />resolution authorizing the Director of Community Life Services to make application to <br />the Ohio Department of Natural Resources for a Nature Works Grant for the purpose of <br />providing partial funding for certain local park and recreational improvements; further <br />authorizing the use of matching city funds for such improvements; further authorizing the <br />Mayor to accept the grant if awarded and to execute a contract and/or such other <br />documents as aze required to effectuate receipt of the grant; and declaring an emergency. <br />Councilman Mahoney moved for suspension of the rule requiring three readings and <br />noted it had been heard in committee. The motion was seconded by Council Member <br />Dailey Jones and passed unanimously. Councilman Mahoney moved for adoption. The <br />motion was seconded by Council Member Dailey Jones and passed unanimously. <br />Resolution No. 2008-4 adopted. <br />Resolution No. 2008-5 introduced by Mayor O'Grady was given its second reading. A <br />resolution authorizing the Mayor to enter into an agreement with the North Olmsted City <br />School District for the providing of fuel and road salt to the school district, and declaring <br />an emergency. <br />Ordinance No. 2008-6 was introduced and placed on first reading by Mayor O'Grady. <br />An ordinance amending Chapter 1163 (Signs) of the Zoning Code in order to provide <br />new regulations for temporary signs. <br />Resolution No. 2008-7 was introduced and placed on first reading by Mayor O'Grady. A <br />resolution authorizing the Mayor to enter into various agreements with Great America <br />Leasing Corporation for the placement and service of a new postage application machine <br />for the various city departments' mail. <br />Ordinance No. 2008-8 was introduced and placed on first reading by Mayor O'Grady. <br />An ordinance authorizing the Mayor of the City of North Olmsted to enter into a second <br />renewed two year agreement with Bob's Ice Cream, Inc., DBA Quality Quick Snacks, <br />providing for vending and video game machines at the North Olmsted Recreation Center, <br />and declaring an emergency. <br />Ordinance No. 2008-9 was introduced and placed on first reading by Mayor O'Grady. <br />An ordinance dispensing with a formal RFP process and authorizing the Mayor to enter <br />into a contract with ATS Engineering, Inc. to provide engineering design and other <br />related professional services to the City of North Olmsted in connection with proposed <br />improvements to the Wastewater Treatment Plant and collections system, and declaring <br />an emergency. <br />12 <br />
