~' <br />Council Minutes of 12-29-09 <br />2) An Ordinance amending the range of compensation rates and salary ranges for <br />administrative and legislative personnel so as to change the salary ranges and titles for the <br />Assistant Director of Law; eliminate the positions of Custodial Supervisor under <br />Springvale, School Guards and off-duty Electrical Maintenance under Police; and to <br />otherwise state the compensation rate ranges reflecting no increase from 2009 for said <br />various administrative and legislative personnel for the yeaz 2010, and declaring an <br />emergency, as amended. This was initially brought forward for the purpose of taking the <br />one full-time Civil Assistant in the Law Department and making it two full-time positions <br />and also establish the proper rate. There were some amendments as well for purposes of <br />removing the proposed changes effecting the Fire and Police Chief. One other <br />amendment is the removal downwazd in the range of compensation for the Director of <br />Service and Director of Community Life Service to allow the incoming Mayor flexibility <br />to be able to hire at a lower rate. <br />Councilman Gazeau made a motion to amend 2009-143. The motion was seconded by <br />Councilman Barker and passed unanimously. Ordinance 2009-143 amended. <br />Councilman Gareau said the committee did recommend approval. The motion was made <br />by Councilman Gareau and seconded by Councilman Barker with request for suspension <br />of the rules. <br />3) 2009-147 a Resolution authorizing the Mayor to enter into aone-year renewal contract <br />with TAC Computer, Inc. in order to provide maintenance and repair services to <br />computer hazdwaze and softwaze in the North Olmsted Fire Department, and declaring an <br />emergency. This is the annual review of the proposal to provide maintenance services for <br />the Fire Department computers. Councilman Gazeau made a motion to recommend <br />approval. The motion was seconded by Councilman Bazker and passed 3-0 with request <br />for suspension of the rules. <br />4) 2009-148 a Resolution authorizing the Mayor to enter into one-yeaz renewal contracts <br />with TAC Computer, Inc. in order to provide for maintenance and repair services to <br />various computer hazdwaze and software at the Police Department, and for membership <br />in the Ohio Law Enforcement Network, and declaring an emergency. This is also aone- <br />yeaz renewal with TAC computer, a sole source provider. Councilman Gazeau made a <br />motion to recommend approval. The motion was seconded by Councilman Barker and <br />passed 3-0 with request for suspension of the rules. <br />5) 2009-149 a Resolution authorizing the Director of Public Service to purchase a Sewer <br />Jet Truck for the Wastewater Treatment Plant through the State Purchase Program, and to <br />trade in truck No. 8 in conjunction with said purchasing and further authorizing the <br />Mayor to execute all documents necessary to effectuate such purchase. This was brought <br />forwazd by Mr. Limpert, Director of Public Service, who provided Council with the city's <br />need for this vehicle. The current vehicle is eighteen years old and no longer suitable for <br />its purpose. The new vehicle will be made a stainless steel and has a greater capacity and <br />can accomplish tasks that are not capable of being accomplished with the current <br />equipment.
