Council Minutes of 12-29-09 <br />reference to a specific vehicle type, Council committee felt more comfortable including <br />the identification of the vehicle to be purchased through the State Purchase Program. <br />Councilman Gazeau made a motion to amend 2009-149 to include specific identification <br />of the truck as GAPVAX in the title and body of the Resolution and further to correct the <br />truck number and change it to 58. The motion was seconded by Councilman Kearney <br />and passed unanimously. Resolution 2009-149 to be amended. <br />Councilman Gareau made a motion to recommend approval. The motion was seconded <br />by Councilman Bazker and passed 3-0 as amended with no request for suspension of the <br />rules. <br />6) 2009-152 an Ordinance authorizing a three yeaz personal services agreement with <br />Medical Mutual of Ohio (MMO) to act as Third-Party Administrator (TPA) for city <br />health insurance claims and to provide ancillary health insurance coverage for the city <br />and, upon granting an emergency exception from requirement for requests for proposals <br />(RFP), further authorizing the Mayor to enter into said contract with MMO, and declaring <br />an emergency. The proposed savings would be about $75,000 by extending the contract <br />two yeazs. The committee was comfortable with proceeding with the legislation. <br />LEGISLATION <br />Ordinance 2009-142 introduced by Councilman Gazeau was given its second reading. <br />An Ordinance amending Section 137.01 (Composition) of Chapter 137, entitled <br />"Department of Law" of the Administrative Code, in order to abolish the position of full- <br />time Assistant Director of Law and create two new part-time Assistant Director of Law <br />positions, and declazing an emergency, as amended. Councilman Gazeau made a motion <br />to suspend the rule requiring three readings. The motion was seconded by Councilman <br />Bazker and passed unanimously. Councilman Gazeau moved for adoption. The motion <br />was seconded by Councilman Barker and passed unanimously. Ordinance 2009-142 <br />adopted. <br />Ordinance 2009-143 introduced by Mayor O'Grady was given its second reading. An <br />Ordinance amending the range of compensation rates and salary ranges for administrative <br />and legislative personnel so as to change the salary ranges and titles for the Assistant <br />Director of Law; eliminate the positions of Custodial Supervisor under Springvale, <br />School Guazds and off-duty Electrical Maintenance under Police; and to otherwise state <br />the compensation rate ranges reflecting no increase from 2009 for said various <br />administrative and legislative personnel for the year 2010, and declaring an emergency, <br />as amended. Councilman Gazeau made a motion to suspend the rule requiring three <br />readings. The motion was seconded by Councilman Bazker and passed unanimously. <br />Councilman Gazeau moved for adoption.
