Everybody worked hard. He congratulated those who <br />ran a very admirable campaign but didn't quite make it. The people have made their final <br />decision and that decision is to be respected. He anticipates the next four years being <br />much more challenging than the campaign. <br />LEGISLATION <br />Ordinance 2009-109 introduced by Mayor O'Grady was given its second reading. An <br />Ordinance amending Sections 505.01 and 947.01 of the North Olmsted Codified <br />Ordinances in order to permit responsible persons to walk dogs on a leash in North <br />Olmsted city parks. <br />Ordinance 2009-124 introduced by Mayor O'Grady was given its second reading. An <br />Ordinance to make and transfer appropriations for current expenses and other <br />expenditures for the city of North Olmsted for the year ending December 31, 2009. <br />Councilman Gareau made a motion to suspend the rule requiring three readings noting it <br />was reviewed in committee and the suspension was made at the request of the Finance <br />Director in order to appropriate the funds and then, at the same time, encumber them. <br />The motion was seconded by Councilman Barker and passed unanimously. Councilman <br />Gareau moved for adoption. The motion was seconded by Councilman Barker and <br />passed unanimously. Ordinance 2009-124 adopted. <br />Resolution 2009-125 introduced by Mayor O'Grady was given its second reading. A <br />Resolution authorizing and directing the Director of Public Service to advertise for bids <br />for the award of a contract to provide ADA improvements to the North Olmsted Senior <br />Center, Community Cabin and North Olmsted Park as detailed in the specifications on <br />file in the Engineering Department, and authorizing the Mayor, following approval of the <br />Board of Control, to contract for the same with the lowest and best bidder, and declaring <br />an emergency. Councilman Gareau made a motion to suspend the rule requiring three <br />readings noting it was reviewed in committee, and the suspension request is made at the <br />request of the Director of Planning in order to have the bid to be out and ready for the end <br />of December. Resolution 2009-125 adopted. <br />Resolution 2009-129 was introduced on behalf of all of Council and placed on first <br />reading by Mayor O'Grady.
