Council Minutes of 9-15-2009 <br />Resolution 2009-108 was introduced by Mayor O'Grady and given its first reading. A <br />resolution authorizing the Mayor, on behalf of the city of North Olmsted, to enter into an <br />agreement with the Olmsted Historical Society granting the latter permission to place <br />community event banners on poles located in the city right-of--way at existing city banner <br />locations, and declaring an emergency. Councilman Gareau moved to suspend the rule <br />requiring three readings noting the application is due in short order. The motion was <br />seconded by Councilman Orlowski and passed unanimously. Councilman Gareau moved <br />for adoption. The motion was seconded by Councilman Orlowski and passed <br />unanimously. Resolution 2009-10$ adopted. <br />Ordinance 2009-109 was introduced by Mayor O'Grady and given its first reading. An <br />ordinance amending Sections 505.01 and 947.01 of the North Olmsted Codified <br />Ordinances in order to permit responsible persons to walk dogs on a leash in North <br />Olmsted city parks. <br />Resolution 2009-110 was introduced by Mayor O'Grady and given its first reading. A <br />resolution authorizing the Director of Public Service to prepare and submit an application <br />for State of Ohio Issue 1 funding for the Fitch Road Reconstruction Project and further <br />for the Mayor to accept, on behalf of the city, said funding if awarded, subject to all terms <br />and conditions, including the city's portion of costs, and declaring an emergency. <br />Councilwoman Dailey Jones moved to suspend the rule requiring three readings. An <br />ordinance amending Section 911.18 ("Grievances and Appeals") of Chapter 911 <br />("Sewers Generally") of the Streets, Utilities and Public Services Code in order to clarify <br />the city's process for resolving grievances regarding extraordinary sewer charges. <br />Ordinance 2009-113 was introduced by Mayor O'Grady and given its first reading. An <br />ordinance authorizing the Director of Human Resources to request proposals for the <br />development, implementation and management of a city deferred compensation plan; and <br />further authorizing the Mayor, subject to approval of the Board of Control, to enter into <br />an agreement with the firm selected in the RFP process. <br />13 <br />
