City Council Minutes of 3/17/2009 <br />Resolution No. 2009-30 introduced by Mayor O'Grady was given its second reading. A <br />resolution authorizing the Director of Public Safety to request statements of qualifications <br />(SOQ's) for a plans examiner and back-up plans examiner; further authorizing the <br />Mayor, subject to approval of the Board of Control, to enter into atwo-year agreement <br />with the examiners selected; and declaring an emergency. <br />Resolution No. 2009-31 introduced by Councilman Barker on behalf of himself and <br />Council Members .Jones, Kearney, Mahoney, Orlowski and Brossard was given its <br />second reading. A resolution authorizing the Director of Finance to solicit statements of <br />qualifications ("SOQ's") from qualified attorneys and law firms to provide professional <br />services as the city's bond counsel; and further authorizing the Mayor, subject to <br />approval of the Board of Control, to enter into a personal services contract with the <br />attorney or firm selected, as amended. <br />Ordinance No. 2009-35 was introduced and placed on first reading by Mayor O'Grady. <br />An ordinance to make and transfer appropriations for current expenses and other <br />expenditures for the City of North Olmsted for the year ending December 31, 2009. <br />Resolution No. 2009-36 was introduced and placed on first reading by Mayor O'Grady. <br />A resolution authorizing the Mayor to enter into a contract with Cintas Corporation to <br />provide uniform rental services to the city's Service Department employees, and <br />declaring an emergency. <br />Resolution No. 2009-37 was introduced and placed on first reading by Mayor O'Grady. <br />A resolution authorizing the Director of Public Service to advertise for bids for the <br />reconstruction of Dover Center Road along with related catch basin, manhole, sidewalk <br />and curbing repairs on Dover Center Road from Butternut Ridge Road to the northern <br />corporate limits in the City of North Olmsted as detailed in the specifications on file, <br />further authorizing the Mayor to enter into a contract with the lowest and best bidder for <br />said reconstruction, after Board of Control approval, and declaring an emergency. <br />Council Member Jones moved for suspension of the rules requiring three readings and <br />committee review. The motion was seconded by Councilman Mahoney and passed <br />unanimously. Council Member Jones moved for adoption. The motion was seconded by <br />Councilman Mahoney and passed unanimously. Resolution No. 2009-37 adopted. <br />Resolution No. 2009-38 was introduced and placed on first reading by Mayor O'Grady. <br />A resolution authorizing the Director of Public Service to advertise for bids for asphalt <br />resurfacing on concrete streets and asphalt recycling on asphalt streets along with related <br />catch basin, manhole, sidewalk and curbing repairs at various locations in the City of <br />North Olmsted as detailed in the specifications on file, further authorizing the Mayor to <br />enter into a contract with the lowest and best bidder for said repairs, after Board of <br />Control approval, and declaring an emergency. Council Member Jones moved for <br />suspension of the rules requiring three readings and committee review. The motion was <br />seconded by Councilman Mahoney and passed unanimously.
