Council Minutes of 2/3/2009 <br />continued: Orlowski, yes; Kearney, yes. The motion passed unanimously. Resolution <br />No. 2009-11 adopted. <br />Resolution No. 2009-13 was introduced and placed on first reading by Mayor O'Grady. <br />A resolution authorizing the Mayor to enter into one-year renewal contracts with TAC <br />Computer Inc. in order to provide for maintenance and repair services to various <br />computer hardware and software at the Police Department, and for membership in the <br />Ohio Law Enforcement Network and declaring an emergency. <br />Resolution No. 2009-14 was introduced and placed on first reading by Mayor O'Grady. <br />A resolution authorizing the Mayor to enter into aone-year renewal contract with TAC <br />Computer Inc. in order to provide maintenance and repair services to computer hardware <br />and software in the North Olmsted Fire Department and declaring an emergency. <br />Ordinance No. 2009-15 was introduced and placed on first reading by Mayor O'Grady on <br />behalf of himself and Councilman Ryan. An ordinance enacted by the City of North <br />Olmsted, Cuyahoga County, Ohio (hereinafter referred to as the Municipality), in the <br />matter of the resurfacing of Dover Center Road from Butternut Ridge Road to the <br />Westlake SCL and requests the cooperation of the County of Cuyahoga by its Board of <br />County Commissioners (hereinafter referred to as the County) and declaring an <br />emergency. Council Member Dailey Jones moved for suspension of the rules requiring <br />three readings and committee review. The motion was seconded by Councilman <br />Mahoney and passed unanimously. Council Member Dailey Jones moved for adoption, <br />and the motion was seconded by Councilman Mahoney. Roll call: Jones, yes; Mahoney, <br />yes; Kearney, yes; Orlowski, yes; Ryan, yes, with comment, as the Ward I Councilman, <br />he is thankful we are starting to do something on Dover Center Road. Roll call <br />continued: Gareau, yes; Barker, yes. The motion passed unanimously. Ordinance No. <br />2009-15 adopted. <br />Resolution No. 2009-16 was introduced and placed on first reading by Mayor O'Grady <br />on behalf of himself, Councilman Orlowski, and the entire City Council. A resolution <br />supporting and recommending the nomination of the Frostville Village Church <br />renovation to be considered by the Cleveland Restoration Society and AIA Cleveland for <br />the 2009 Celebration of Preservation Award, and declaring an emergency. Councilman <br />Orlowski moved for suspension of the rules requiring three readings and committee <br />review as it is very straight forward. The restoration of Frostville Village Church is a <br />well deserved addition to Ward IV in the city as is the work of all of the volunteers. The <br />application is time sensitive. The motion was seconded by Councilman Ryan and passed <br />unanimously. (Councilman Ryan asked to be a co-sponsor also, and it was decided the <br />entire Council wished to be co-sponsors.) Councilman Orlowski moved for adoption, <br />and the motion was seconded by Councilman Ryan. Roll call: Orlowski, yes; Ryan, yes, <br />with comment that he and his children have enjoyed visiting Frostville. It's a <br />phenomenal place and thinks everyone should experience it. Roll call continued: <br />Gareau, yes, with comment that living on Barton Road, it was distressing to see the <br />deterioration of that church going from an important point in the community to a <br />dilapidated eyesore over the years.
