,~"° -. _ <br />1.7.3 Provide services as requested by the City normally <br />associated with treatment plant design, construction, and <br />operation. <br />1.7.4 Furnish a qualified Resident Engineer who will <br />maintain detailed surveillance of the construction work; <br />instruct the field engineers and inspectors; and prepare for <br />review, partial and final estimates for payments to contrac- <br />tors. <br />1.7.5 Provide formal classroom training in basic treat- <br />ment plant operations. <br />1.7.6 Provide start-up service for treatment plant <br />operations . <br />1.8 Project Manager <br />Dalton shall designate William Moss, an employee of Dalton, <br />as Project Manager for this Project. <br />ARTICLE 2, THE CITY'S RESPONSIBILITIES <br />2.1 The City shall designate a representative author- <br />ized to act in its behalf with respect to the Project. All <br />direction and authorization shall be by or through such <br />representative. The City shall examine documents submitted <br />by Dalton and shall render decisions pertaining thereto <br />promptly to avoid unreasonable delay in the progress of <br />Dalton's Services. <br />2.2 The City shall make available to Dalton all previous <br />reports, documents, or drawings pertaining to the Project. <br />Dalton will make maximum use of work previously performed. <br />2.3 The City shall provide boundary or right-of-way <br />survey data for the land used in the Project. <br />2.4 The City shall provide Dalton with the opportunity <br />to interview staff knowledgeable about the system and shall <br />provide persons from the staff as members of a quality <br />review team. It is anticipated that the quality review <br />committee will require approximately ten (10) man-days over <br />the entire Project. <br />2.5 The City shall furnish all laboratory analytical <br />services in connection with the survey, monitoring and <br />surveillance elements of the pretreatment program. <br />ARTICLE 3, COMPENSATIQN <br />3.1 Basic Services <br />For Dalton's.Services as set forth in Paragraphs 1.1 through <br />1.6, a Basic Fee shall be paid Dalton based on a direct <br />-5- <br />
