CITY OF NORTH OLMSTED ORDINANCE NO. 80- 48 PAGE 3 3. For all employees who have completed twenty (20) years of continuous service or more before December lst - $700 per year. 4. The provisions contained in Paragraphs 1, 2, and 3 of this Section shall, however, be subject to the following provisions: i. The longevity year shall be based upon December lst to December lst, and in order to be eligible for One Hundred Percent (1001) longevity payment for any year, the employee must have worked or been paid for at least Two Hundred Thirty-Eight (238) days during the longevity year and also be actively employed on December 1st of the payment year. Furthermore, if the employee works or is paid for less than Two Hundred Thirty Eight (238) days in the calendar year and is still actively employed on December 1st. of the payment year, the longevity payment shall be prorated as follows: 214-237 days 90% 190-213 days 80i 166-189 days 70i 142-165 days 600 118-141 days 50i 117 days or less Oo ii. However, any employee who retires and receives a pension, or dies, prior to December lst of the payment year shall still be eligible to receive a longevity payment for that year based upon the proration schedule set forth in Paragraph 4 above. SECTION 3: Uniform Allowance That there is hereby established a uniform allowance for bus operators, maintenance and service employees which allowance shall be hereinafter specified. A. That full-time maintenance and service employees in the garage of the North Olmsted Municipal Bus Line shall be permitted a maximum of three (3) sets of laundered work clothing each week. B. That there shall be allowed for each full-time bus operator the sum of One Hundred Fifty Dollars ($150) per year for the acquisition of uniforms to be worn while operating a bus for the North Olmsted Municipal Bus Line. Clothing allowance will not be issued to a new operator until after thirty (30) full days of employment. If within the probationary period of one (1) year, an operator leaves the employ of the North Olmsted Municipal Bus Line, then he/she must reimburse the North Olmsted Municipal Bus Line for the amount of money spent from the clothing allowance. SECTION 4: Paid Holidays That all employees of the North Olmsted Municipal Bus Line shall receive holiday pay for the following holidays: New Years Day, Presidents Day, Memorial Day, July 4th, Labor Day, Thanksgiving Day, December 24th, Christmas Day, and the Employees Birthday. The observance of December 24th shall be mutually agreed to by the employee and management so as not to interfere with the normal scheduled operations of the North Olmsted Municipal Bus Line. Circumstances may prevail in which management will designate the date of observance of the December 24th paid holiday.
