call or order to the uniformed services or a written statement from the appropriate military <br />commander authorizing that service, prior to being credited with such leave. Upon return <br />fi•om such military leave, each such member shall, within thirty (30) days following his or <br />her return, submit to the Director of Finance military documentation which sets forth the <br />amount of base military pay that the member received during the period of his or her leave <br />of absence. <br />12:04 The benefits provided for in this Article are expressly in lieu of the military leave - <br />benefits provided for in Section 5923.05 of the Ohio Revised Code, including the first 30- <br />day benefits contained in paragraph (A) of said Section 5923.05, for members who are <br />called or ordered to the uniformed services, pursuant to one of the categories of orders set <br />forth in section 1 above, for a period or periods longer than a month, for each calendar year <br />in which the employee performs service in the uniformed services. This Article is not, <br />however, intended to supplant the benefits provided in paragraph (A) of Section 5923.05 for <br />those employees who are members of the Ohio organized militia or members of other <br />reserve components of the armed forces of the United States, including the Ohio national <br />guard, who are entitled, pursuant to that paragraph, to leaves of absence from their <br />respective positions without loss of pay for the time they are performing service in the <br />uniformed services, for periods of up to one month, for each calendar year in which they are <br />performing service in the uniformed services. In addition, this Article is not intended to <br />supplant any other military leave benefit to which members may be entitled pursuant to any <br />other section of the Ohio Revised Code. <br />ARTICLE 13 <br />FMLA LEAVE <br />13.01 A regular full-time employee shall be provided with FMLA Leave pursuant to federal <br />law. <br />ARTICLE 14 <br />UNION LEAVE <br />14.01 Upon written request from the Union, a leave of absence without pay shall be granted to <br />not more than three (3) employees for a period of not in excess often (10) days per year each <br />(fifteen (15) days per year in which an employee attends the Convention of the International <br />Union), for the purpose of attending Union conventions or other Union activities which <br />necessitate a suspension of active employment. Additional absences for Union business may be <br />permitted as conditions permit, having in mind the volume of work. <br />ARTICLE 15 <br />PAID SICK LEAVE <br />15.01 A fill-time employee shall be granted sick leave for personal illness or injury as follo~~~s: <br />(a) Paid sick leave shall be earned and accumulated at the rate of four and six-tenths <br />(4.6) hours for every eighty (80) hour paid, excluding overtime; <br />(b) Pay for sick leave shall be at the employee's straight time hourly rate (or portion <br />thereof if absent for less than a full day); <br />
