.~ ..~ - .-11..~. <br />22.02 An employee in the Wastewater Treatment Plant or the Service Department who may be <br />scheduled to work a full day on Good Friday or Christmas Eve will receive compensatory time <br />off. Rotating shift workers at the Wastewater Treatment Plant who may be scheduled to work a <br />full day on Easter will receive compensatory time off. <br />22.03 In addition to the above holidays, a regular full-time employee shall be entitled to <br />observed two (2) personal days as a holiday with pay in each of the years (July 1 through June <br />30) covered by the terms of this Agreement. The personal days shall be scheduled by mutual <br />agreement between the employee and his supervisor. Personal Days may be scheduled in one <br />half (1/2) day increments. <br />22.04 If an employee does not use sick leave time for any calendar quarter (i.e., Jan-Mar, Apr- <br />Jun, Jul-Sept, or Oct-Dec), he shall receive eight (8) hours off or at his option the cash equivalent <br />of eight (8) hours, for each such calendar quarter. In addition, if an employee does not use sick <br />leave time for any calendar half (i.e., Jan-Jun, or Jul-Dec), he shall receive an additional eight (8) <br />hours off or at his option the cash equivalent of eight (8) hours, for each such calendar half. <br />(This provision shall be construed so that employees may receive no more than a maximum of <br />forty-eight (48} hours each calendar year.) Such bonus days may be talcen at a time mutually <br />agreeable to the Employer and the employee. Such bonus days must be taken within one year of <br />accrual. Up to one absence per year for attending a funeral as provided in Article 42 may be <br />used without affecting eligibility for bonus days. <br />22.05 To be entitled to holiday pay, employees must work the last regular work day before the <br />first regular work day after the holiday, unless excused by the Employer. If any of the above <br />holidays fall on a Saturday or a Sunday, either the previous Friday or the following Monday shall <br />be observed as the holiday, except that where employees at the Wastewater Plant (which <br />maintains a 7 day operation) normally work a rotating shift, the holiday shall be observed on its <br />actual day. <br />22.06 An employee shall take his birthday within the pay period in which it falls except, an <br />alternate date may be established by mutual agreement between the employee and his supervisor. <br />ARTICLE 23 CALL-IN PAY <br />23.01 If an employee receives prior notification of call-in during his previous shift and the <br />overtime work is continuous with scheduled work hours, the employee shall receive pay at the <br />applicable rate only for actual overtime hours worked. If, however, an employee does not <br />receive prior notification of call-in during his previous shift, he shall receive a minimum of three <br />(3) hours work or tlu•ee (3) hours pay, providing the time does not abut the employee's regular <br />work day. <br />ARTICLE 24 NEW AND CHANGED JOBS <br />24.01 If substantial changes occur in the method of operations, tools or equipment of a job, or if <br />anew job is established within the general scope of the work performed by members of this unit, <br />the Employer shall establish and describe the content of the job and it shall. establish a pay <br />19 <br />
