One (1) employee from Corrections, One (1) employee from Dispatch, Two (2) <br />employees from Clerical/Technical, Two (2) employees from Service, Two (2) <br />employees from Fire, Two (2) employees from Police, Two (2) non bargaining unit <br />employees, and Two (2) employees from Administration. The Employer shall provide <br />advisors or facilitators to assist the HCAT regarding health care. The HCAT shall be <br />required to review the City's current health care plans for medical, dental, and vision <br />benefits, and shall recommend to the City Council new or revised plans that are <br />competitive in the health-care market, and that will achieve the goals of promoting cost ~ - -- <br />contaimnent within the plan and minimize premium contributions by employees. In <br />fulfilling its mission, the HCAT shall consider office co-pays, prescription drug rates, <br />deductibles, maximum out of pocket costs, wellness programs, and such other plan <br />attributes and other related matters that will achieve the goals set forth above. Within six <br />(6) months following its first meeting, the HCAT shall vote to recommend proposed new <br />or revised health care plans that meet the goals set forth above. If a majority of all <br />members of the HCAT approve such recommendations, it shall be forwarded to City <br />Council for its approval. City Council shall retain the final authority to act on the <br />HCAT's recommendations. <br />ARTICLE 26 JURY OR WITNESS PAY <br />26.01 An employee called for jury duty shall be granted a leave of absence for the period of jury <br />service and will be compensated at full pay for absences necessarily caused by the jury duty. The <br />employee shall be entitled to retain jury pay received as reimbursement for expenses incurred in <br />performing jury duty. An employee who is required to be absent from scheduled work to serve <br />as a witness on a Employer related issue will be paid for time lost from scheduled straight time <br />work. An employee who is called as a witness due to his part-time employment in the area of <br />public law enforcement with the City of North Olmsted shall receive his regular rate of pay from <br />the Employer. <br />ARTICLE 27 SAFETY AND HEALTH <br />27.01 The Employer and the Union recognize that each party must comply with the applicable <br />state and federal laws with respect to safety and health. The Employer shall continue to make <br />reasonable provisions for the safety ai7d health of its employees. <br />A. Required personal protective equipment shall be issued to regular full-time <br />employees and shall be replaced if the equipment is worn out and is returned to <br />the Employer for replacement. <br />An employee who does not return the equipment will be charged for the <br />replacement cost, except in cases, <br />(1) In which the equipment was destroyed by accidental conditions beyond <br />the employee's control in the work area, or; <br />(2) If the equipment has been stolen and the Employer has failed to supply the <br />employee with a place to lock up his equipment. <br />21 <br />
