Employees will be paid time and one-haif (1 1/2) of their straight fime rate of pay for <br />hours worked in excess of eight (8) in any one work day and time and one-half (1 1/2) of their <br />straight time rate of pay for hours worked in excess af forEy (40) hours in any one work week In <br />the inferest of health and safety, management may send an employee home before he <br />complates his regular scheduled shift when the employee has worked the maximum <br />consecufive emergency overtime hours. 5uch regularly scheduled shift hours not worked will be <br />credited toward the forty (40) hour work week requiremenf for any subsequenf overfime haurs <br />worked. Employees other than those working rotafing shifts at the Wastewater Treatment Plant, <br />shall receive twice (2x) the rate of their regular pay for hours worked on Sunday. A work day is <br />a twenty-four (24) hour period commencing at the sfart of the empioyee's scheduled shiff. Hours <br />worked on a day designated as a holiday in Article 22 shall be paid at twice (2x) the empioyee's <br />straight time rate of pay for haurs worked in addition to regular holiday pay in accordance with <br />Article 22. Hours worked on a day designated as a Personal Day in accordance wifih Articie 22, <br />shall be paid at time and one-half (1 1/2) the employees straight time pay rate for hours worked, <br />in addifion to regular holiday pay in accordance with Article 22. <br />(a) Employees of fhe Waste Water Treatment Plant shail be paid double (2X) the <br />employee's straight fime rate of pay for hours worked in addition to regular <br />hofiday pay for hours worked on Thanksgiving and Christmas. <br />Sectaan 6. 4n determining whether an emplayee has worked in excess of forty (40) hours in any <br />work week, the following sha(I be considered as hours worked: <br />(a) Hours on a hafiday which the employes did naf work, but for which he recetved <br />pay pursuant to Article 22 of fhis Agreement; <br />12
