and the o.vertime opparfunity shali be dis#ributed as eauitable as possible, The City shall <br />rnaintain (ists by ciassificatiQn showing the overtime hours of each empioyee. All overtime hours <br />shall be recorded on a daiiy basis. The overtirne fists shali be posted at each work location <br />(Service Garage, P}ant and Sysfems) and shail be kept current on a daily basis. The Service <br />Mechanics and helpers will be subject to rotafing overtime. Thsse overtime fists shail be <br />reduced to zero and start again on July Tst of each year. Students, seasona( and part-tirrme <br />empioyees will not work overtime until aif regular employees have been ofFered overtime. <br />Seetion 3. During snow season, empfoyees will be canvassed daily to determine their <br />availabiiity during the ensuing non-shifflovertime hours for snow remaval or ice control duty. <br />Howeyer, employees who refuse overtime but ulfimately wouid not have been cai(ed off the (ist <br />will not be re-credited with avertime hours worked. The overEime seniority (ist will be followed <br />and those empioyees not interested in being called will not be contacted on a subsea,uent call <br />out unless emergency conc(i"tions develop. <br />Secfion 4. For the purpose of this secfion, there shall be an excepfion to fhe distribution of <br />overtime in accordance wifih the overfime procedure above. <br />1.) The City rnay schedule an employee to work more than his regular scheduled <br />day naf to exceed ten (10) hours in a week. 2.) Once an empioyee has worked ten (10) hours the City shall oifer avertime in <br />strict aGCOrdance with the overtime provision above. <br />This section pertains ta hold over only, ail cali auts shall remain in strict cornpiiance with <br />the call out procedure contained herein. <br />This section is not to be construed to give the Gity fhe unlimited right to deviate from the <br />overtime procedure, but to aliow an assigned crew to complete schedu(ed work assignments in <br />an efficient manner. <br />Section 5. For fhe purpose af overtime distribufion, if an emp(oyee is promoted or transferred to <br />another cfassification, the empfoyee shail be credited with one (1) hour more than the most <br />senior haur empioyee. <br />Sectian 6.
