Ternporary transfers shafl be assignsd to the least senior empfoyee within the cfas5ification <br />needed. This pertains only to temporary transfers between Divisions, i.e., Fleet Maintenance, Wastewater <br />Treatment Plant. <br />ARTICLE 21 -VACATIONS <br />Secfion 1. Regular full-fime employees hired prior fo .lufy 1,1995 sha[I be granted vacafion leave with full <br />pay as provided below. However, vacation carry-over is (imited as sef forth in Section 2 below. Pay in Iieu <br />af vacation is (im'rted to conditions as set farth. <br />One through fiour years <br />Five fhrough nine years <br />Ten through fourteen years <br />Fifteen through twenty years <br />Twenty-one years through infiinity <br />- 2 calendar weeks <br />- 3 calendar weeks <br />- 4 calendar weeks <br />- 5 calendar weeks <br />- 6 calendar weeks <br />Section 2. An employee sha11 become eligible for vacation leave on his anniversary date and vacafion <br />leave shail be taken by the employee within twelve (12) months thereafter. However, so fong as an <br />employee uses at leasf five (5) uninterrupted days of vacation each year, the employee shall be permitfed <br />with prior approval to carry over or to sell back any amount of vacafion which does not exceed the arnouni <br />earned in the prior year. Employees shall have an option to use up to one week of accumulated vacation <br />tirne in % day increments. Section 3. if an employee is terminated (voluntarify or involuntarily) prior to taking his vacation and has <br />compiefed one (1) year of ernployment with fihe City, he shall receive the prarated portion of any accrued <br />but unused vacation at the time of separation. in case of death of an employee, the unusec( vacation leave <br />21
