shall be paid ta the estate. <br />(a) If a day recogn2ed as a hofiday by the terms of this Agreement falls within an employee's <br />vacation leave, the employee shaH not be credited with a vacafion day, and wili be paid for <br />the ho(iday at the straight time rate. <br />(b) An employee may have the option of using persona( days as days of extended vacation <br />with prior approval of his department head. . <br />(c) An employee may have the opfion of using all but one week of his vaca#ion in increments <br />of less than one wsek; for example, one or two days at a#ime. An employee will give the <br />supervisor at least forty-eight (48) hours advance notice in writing. In an emergency <br />situation verbal communication wifh fhe supervisor is appropriate and may justify waiving <br />advance notification. <br />Sectian 4. Regular full-time empioyees hire.d after July 1,1995 shall be granted vacation at a rate of pay <br />equal fio that of their current base-rate of pay. Vacation time is earned based upon time actually worked <br />during the year, that such vacation fime is eamed. Vacation time is to be taken on or after the employees <br />anniversary date af hire following year which it was eamec[ without excepfion. Employee(s) sha(( first have <br />compieted tweive (12) months af full-time employment performing bargaining unit work with the Gity prior <br />to being e(igible for any vacafion. <br />Section b. All regular full-time empfoyees hired after July 1, 1995 shall, after complying wifh the terms and <br />concfitions contained in this article and. having compieted the years of service folfowing his anniversary <br />date of hire, be efigible for vacafion as follows: <br />Upon Complefion of: <br />Vacation Eliaibifif <br />1 through 4 years <br />5 through 9 years <br />10 fhrougn 14 years <br />15 through 19 years <br />20 years and ouer <br />2 weeks <br />3 weeks <br />4 weeks <br />5 vdeeks <br />6 weeks <br />Section 2, 3, 4 above shalf afso apply to regular full-time emp(oyees hired after July 1, 1995. <br />,4RTICLE 22 - HOLtQAYS <br />Section 1. AN regular full-time employees shali be antitled to the following paid holidays: <br />New Year's Day <br />President's Day <br />One-half (A) Day Good Friday <br />22
