Memoriai Day . <br />Independence Day <br />Labor Day <br />Thanksg'rving Day <br />Day after Thanksgiving <br />One-half (A) Day Ghristmas Eve <br />Christmas Day <br />One-half (A) Day New Years Eve <br />Employee's Birthday <br />Section 2. An empioyee in the VVastewater Treatment Plant or the Service Department who may be <br />scheduled to work a fu(I day on Good Friday or Christmas Eve wil( receive compensatory time off. <br />Section 3. )n addifion to the above holidays, a regufar full-time employee shall be entitlad to abserved two <br />(2) personal days as a holiday with pay in each of the years (July 1 through June 30) covered by the terms <br />of this Agreement. The personal days shall be scheduled by mutuai agreement between the employee <br />and his supervisor. Personai Days may be sch2du(ed in one half (112) day increments. <br />Section 4. If an employee does not use sick 18ave time for any 6 month period, from his last sick clay, he <br />shall receive 20 hours personal fime off or, at his opfion, the cash equivalent of 20 hours. Such banus <br />days may be taken at a time mutu.ally agreeable to the City and the employee. Such bonus cfays must be <br />taken within one (1) year of accruaL Up to or?e absence per year for attending a funeral as provided in <br />ARicfe 15 may be used without affecfing eligibility for bonus days. <br />Section 5. To be entitled to holiday pay, employees must work fhe last regular work day before the first <br />regular work day after the hofiday unless excused by fihe City. if any of the above ho(icfays fali on a <br />Saturday or a Sunday, eifher fhe previous Friday or the foliawing Monday shall be observed as the <br />hoiiday, except that where employees at the Wastewater Piant (which maintains a 7 day operation) <br />normai(y work a rotafing shift, the holiday shall be observed on ifs actual day. <br />Sectian 6. An emplayee shall take his birthday wfthin the pay period in which it falis except, an altemate <br />date may be estabfished by mutuai agreement between the empioyee and h?s supervisor.
