EXHtBlT B-8 CONT[NlJED <br />MAINTENANCE <br />MECHANtC <br />Emp(oyees within the job classification Maintenance Mechanic, requires performing skiiled rnachine <br />work, welding, steamfitting, p}umbing and boiler repair, repair chemical feeders, chiorine machines and <br />heating, circufafing and other pumps, repair water and steam drain fines, assisting fihe installation of <br />new and repairing of oid steam, afr, water and chemical Iines. <br />Empioyees shall be required to maintain a valid commerciaf drivers ficense at a!l times. <br />Empioyees within the job classification Maintenance Mechanic may be assigned to o.perate pump <br />stafions and treatmenf piants on an assigned shift for emergency situations. This job cfassification may <br />require the operafiion of fight automofive equipment such as a passenger vehicle and/or trucks less than <br />26,000 GWI with and without snow plow blade. A Mechanic may be required to operate tractors, <br />backhoe and front-end loaders. <br />r Empioyees within the job classification Maintenance Mechanic does (imited work with latches, driil <br />presses and other precision machining devises. This job classification aiso requires incidental <br />carpentry, painting, masonry and cemen# work. <br />Employees within the job classification Maintenance Mechanic are subject to twenty four (24) hour call <br />during emergency situations. <br />Emp(oyees within fhe job classification Maintenance Mechanic, shall have knowledge of the standard <br />practices, methods, tools and maferials of the mechanica( trades. <br />Employees within the job classification Maintenance Mechanic, shafl have knowle-dge of inechanicaf <br />principals and of eauiprnent and machinery used in pumping and treafinent of wastewater. <br />Employees within the job classification tUlaintenance Mechanic, shall have knowledge of the <br />occupational hazards and safety precaufions of fhe work. <br />Employees within the.job classification Mainfenance Mschanic; shali have the know(edge af the general <br />methods and relafed electrical, carpeniry and pfumbing repairs and shali be skilied at making general <br />maintenance repairs. <br />Employees within the job classification Maintenance Mechanic, shall have the abi(ity to perForm <br />mechanical tasks of a raufine nature wlth considerable independence. - <br />52
