foilawing information at the tirns the grievanca is filed, in substanfial conformity <br />therewith: <br />• The date the grievance occurred; <br />• The approximate time the grievance occurred; <br />• Provide deteiled description af the incident giving rise to the grievance; <br />• Cite specific Articles and Sections of the Agreement. invofved and their direct <br />relationship to the incident; <br />• Reiief requested; <br />• Name and signature of the employee and the date signed by the employee; <br />Q Name and signature of the Steward and the date signed by fhe Steward. <br />Step 1: An employee who has a grievance shall reduce it to writing and the grievance <br />shall be presented ta the immediate supervisor by his steward, in the presence of fhe <br />employee, or, in the case of the Wasfiewater Pfant, ths superintendent, within seven (7) <br />working days after the employee faarned or should have learned of the event upon <br />which the grievance is based. The immediate supervisor or superintendent shall meet <br />with the employee or the empioyee and the steward within seven (7) working days. The <br />supervisor or superintendent shall give an answer in wrifing to the participants invoived <br />in the initial meeting wifhin sevsn (7) working days faliowing the dafe of the grievance <br />discussion. The afiTected employee shall be required to attend the ar'orementioned <br />meefing.. <br />Step 2: if fhe employee's grievance is not safisfactorily settied at Step 1, the grievance <br />shall be submitted to the Service Director within seven (7) working days afterthe Step 1 <br />answer. The Service Dirsctor and/or his designee or represenfafives shall meef with the <br />Local Union President the Steward and the Chief Steward or his designee within seven <br />(7) working days after the grievance has been filed with the Service Director, and the <br />City's representative shall answer the grievance in wrifing within seven (7) working days <br />following completion af the Step 2 discussions. The affected empioyee shall be required <br />to attend the aforementioned meefing. <br />Step 3: The Union may appeai the grievance fo the Mayor or his designated <br />representative by giving him notice in writing 4vifhin seven (7) working days foliowing <br />6
