(6) An employee may have the option of using persona( days as days of extended vacafion with prior <br />approval of his deparfinenf head, <br />(c) An employee may have the option of using all buf one week of his vacafion in increments of less than <br />one week; for example, one or two days at a fime. An employee wiil give the supervisor at feast forty- <br />eight (48) hours' aduance nofice in writing. In an emergency sifuation verbal communication with fhe <br />supervisor is appropriate and may jusfify waiving advance nofificafion. <br />Section 4. Regular full-time employees hired after July 1,1995 shail be granted vacation <br />at a rate of pay equal to that of their current base rate of pay, Vacation #irne is earned based <br />upon fime actually worked during the year such vacafion time is earned. Vacafion time is to be <br />taken on or after the employees anniversary date of hire following year which it was earned <br />without exception. Empioyee(s) shall first have completed fiweive (12) months of fu[I-time <br />employment per#orming bargaining unit work wifh the City prior to being efigib(e for any <br />vacation. <br />Section 5. All regular full-time employees of this bargaining unit hired after July 1,1995, <br />shall, after complying with the fierms and conditions contained within this Afticle be entitied to <br />vacation as follows: <br />Upon Completion of: Vacation Eliaibility <br />1 fhrough 4 years 2 weeks <br />5 through 9 years 3 weeks <br />10 through 14 years 4 weeks <br />15 through 19 years 5 weeks <br />20 years and over 6 weeks <br />Section's 2, 3 and 4 above shall also apply to regular fuli-time empioyees hired after July <br />1,1995. <br />ARTICLE 16- HOLIDAYS <br />Section 1. All regular full-time employees shail be entitled to the foflowing paid holidays: <br />New Year's Day Thanksgiving Day <br />One-haif (1/2) Day Christmas Eve Christmas Day <br />One half (112) Day New Year's Eve Labor Day <br />23
